iPearl mCover Hard Shell Case for 13-inch Model A1425 / A1502 MacBook Pro (with 13.3-inch Retina Display) (Pink)

Your browser does not support HTML5 video. UPDATE: 8/24/2012 - I'm actually removing one star from my rating due to an issue that I have experienced using this hard shell case on my new MacBook Pro. Several other people have reported this issue to me as well. With this new tweaked design of the iPearl mCover, I have noticed that the two tabs on the bottom rear hard shell actually rub against the black plastic piece which is part of the assembly of the top cover of the MacBook Pro. When you slowly open the lid of your comptuer while looking at the tabs, you can clearly see them hitting the black piece as it slides into the case of the MacBook Pro. When the lid of the computer is opened or closed, the two tabs rub against the black piece of the top lid causing either a squeak or clicking sound. This by itself is more of a nuisance rather than a huge problem. However when you go into a quiet room or office meeting and open your MacBook Pro, you may hear this squeak or click. I have a previous version of this mCover and it has a slightly different tab design and that older model does not squeak or click. So I guess what I'm saying is that you may also experience this. But not everyone does. Seems to be a tolerance issue either with the hard shell itself or the MacBook Pro or both.--------This is the third iPearl mCover hard shell case that I have purchased. Previously I had purchased a black mCover as well as a blue one.This case is the aqua color and it might be my favorite color so far. It is also nice to see that iPearl is still improving the already excellent mCover case.The previous version of the case that I own has two large open areas on the bottom piece of the cover. These open areas leave a good portion of the bottom of the MacBook Pro exposed to potential scratching. The new design eliminates that potential issue by replacing the two open areas with a full width slotted design. This reduces greatly the possibility of something scratching the bottom side of your MacBook Pro.Other improvements include longer rear feet which slightly increases the angle of the MacBook Pro when the feet are deployed. This makes for a more comfortable typing experience. The feet are a bit fragile however so you must use sensible caution when using the rear feet. The front pads had a tendency to catch on my nylon pack when transporting my MacBook Pro and they occasionally got pulled off the mCover case. I've had to stick them back on several times. I don't consider this to be a serious issue though as they are easily replaceable and using reasonable care should prevent them from falling off at all.The mCover case is very light and does not add any bulk to the MacBook Pro that is worth mentioning. I like the color and also like that the backlit Apple logo shines brightly through the top case.I've been very pleased with the protection that this case has given to my previous MacBook Pros and feel that the improvements in the mCover make this an even better value than before. Highly recommended.

To say that we are an iPearl / mCover family is an understatement. When my wife and I bought our MacBook Air's in 2011 we looked around for a reasonably priced and well made cover to keep the finish on our computers. We found the mCovers here on Amazon and purchased them. Fast forward 5+ years - technology does change quickly - and we both purchased the new MacBook Pro's to replace our Airs.Having had such great success with the iPearl products, I looked on Amazon but they were not showing these covers, so I wrote to iPearl and asked if / when they would be making the mCovers for both the 13" and 15". It seems that they had them in the pipeline as the 13" arrived first - just as our 13" macBook Pro was delivered. When the 15" pro was delivered, mCover told me they were just days away. Within a few days mCover wrote to tell me that the 15" covers were in - and I ordered one ASAP.They are still the same great quality that has protected our Air's for 5+ years and they are just as easy to install and look great as well!As you can see - they fit like a glove and over all the case protection you might need. I especially like the retractable "feet" that lift the rear of the computers off the surface - I find that when the fans are really moving, that extra couple of inches increases the ventilation and allows the fnas in the MacBooks to really aid in cooling things down, as well as making the keyboard a little more comfortable to type on.Thank you, mCover, for designing such great products at such a reasonable price!Full Disclosure: I was NOT paid NOR provided with complimentary merchandise for this review - I just believe in recognizing great products!

After much deliberating I eventually decided on this laptop cover because of the high reviews, my choice of color in stock, and the case/keyboard cover combo. After receiving it today, I am majorly bummed to discover the keyboard cover is clear, not the matching aqua color as I expected from the numerous colored keyboards seen in other reviews. Terrible bait and switch advertising. Would not have ordered had I known the keyboard cover would be clear and flimsy. It is also branded right across the spacebar with the product's name...? Again, was not advertised as such, terribly misleading.

Llegó en buen estado.Material duro, ligero y resistente.Le quedó perfecto a mi macbook 13" A1278, queda a buena altura para escribir cómodamente y que no se caliente tanto la computadora.Venía con un cubre teclado de regalo, se ve de buen material pero tristemente no pude usarlo porque está en inglés y mi computadora en español.Lo recomiendo ampliamente, ya compré color verde y azul, duran mucho y se ven bien.

Ajusto perfecto y color hermoso ayuda que se puedan levantar las pestañas traseras para dar una elevación a la Mac. El cubreteclado no correspondió con mi Mac pero se adapta

Simplemente es para lo que es, una carcasa de protección que no es bonita pero cumple su función. Lo bueno es que incluye la protección del teclado.

Good for the price. Your fingerprints show up on the case so cleaning is constant, if that’s something that bothers you!

Llego en excelentes condiciones, fue tal cual lo publicado. Llego también en tiempo y sin contra tiempos.Muy contento con el producto.
