The correct video install procedure was spot on. Easy to install and set up. So wrong of Mitsubishi to want charge you a yearly fee just to remote start your car. Clever of StartX to bypass that. If you are in the snow belt this is a must have. Great value for the money.

2024 Mitsubishi Outlander SE Everything worked as intended. The actual install of the equipment truly was plug and play. The only challenge with the install is the removing and reinstalling of the panels. However, that has nothing to do with the quality or functionality of the device. I just installed the device at the time of writing this review. We are really pleased with the product so far. The instructional video for the Outlander made this an easy project. I was done in about an hour. A word of advice for my fellow consumers. Make sure your connections are in place correctly and that none of the wires are pinched. Not only may it cause the remote start not work as intended but it may also cause other issues with your vehicle. This advice shouldn’t worry you though. Checking to see that nothing is snagged and that the connections are firmly in place is a very easy thing to do. We will update our review in the next few weeks once we’ve incorporated the remote start into our daily lives. As of right now, my wife and I are very pleased. Not only did we save a bunch of money by not paying Mitsubishi over $200 for their app that sometimes didn’t work, we have a very easy to use and very easy to install device that is a one time purchase.

Simple to install, takes only a half an hour

The only thing I would possibly complain about is the fact that the 1 connector does not lock into place. I found I did not have it in far enough the first time and had to remove some panels to get it pushed back into place. I hope it does not pull out. Other than that, it is easy to install and works great (MUCH better than the crap app that comes with the vehicle).

This is pretty much plug and play, you do have to pull some panels to get it installed. I'm not a mechanic but fix a lot of my own stuff and it only took about an hour. I'm glad to not have to deal with the subscription service for remote start which also only worked half the time. It uses the OEM key which is great, unless you press the lock button a bunch of times to extra lock the car. Then it will start, but at least it turns off after a 10 minutes.

Watch a video in YouTube starter x Mitsubishi outlander and you will be done in 20 minutes if you have a little experience in electronics. I am no technician but I previously installed im my car different gadgets. Easy job and work like a charm . This product Safe me a lot money compared with different retail local store . Note after two time started the car remote you need drive the car otherwise the starter don't work I think is for security reasons. You need use the factory key pressing 3 times the lock button for star and 3 times for shutting off the engine. I will be updating the review after some usage.

Works great! Installation took me about 30mins and it wasn’t as hard as I thought due to my lack of wire knowledge when you follow the YouTube guide.

The Start-X Remote Starter is a fantastic addition to my 2022 Outlander! I was so annoyed when I logged into the Mitsubishi app, only to see the remote start feature is greyed out and they want me to pay $300 a year for it!!! On a good day the app was mid and worked only half the time. Needless to say I was happy to find this and decided to give it a try even though I don’t work on cars. I’m quite handy and I managed to have this installed and working flawlessly in under 90 minutes from start to finish. The video is extremely helpful. The instructions they send are garbage but definitely watch the YouTube video because it makes it so simple. The convenience of the 3x lock feature is unbeatable. I love that I can use my factory remote to start the car—no need to carry an additional fob. The system works flawlessly, starting the vehicle quickly and reliably every time. It’s been a game-changer during cold mornings, ensuring the car is warm and ready by the time I get in. What really stands out is the build quality and attention to detail. The components feel durable, and the integration with the factory system is seamless—no issues or error codes whatsoever. This product is worth every penny and has added so much value to my daily driving experience. The only annoying thing about it is the honking that accompanies having to press lock 3x. It then honks again once, waits a second or two and honks again. So a total of 5 toots of the horn to start it. Hopefully you don’t have uptight neighbours! If you’re on the fence, don’t hesitate. The Start-X Remote Starter is the perfect upgrade for any 2022 or 2023 Outlander owner looking for convenience and performance!

Hey, I bought a Star X for my Mitsubishi Outlander 2023, and I installed it right with the help of the video... the illustration of the collage in YouTube... and I followed the programming method mentioned in the instruction manual... but to do my car three times after the pressure... the lock button in remote control... just lights up the alarm and shuts the door... but don't act remotely... please help me with the right programming.

I really liked the StartX remote starter — the kit feels solid, all the components are high-quality and well organized. Unfortunately, it didn’t fit my 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander. After taking apart the panels in my car, I realized that the connectors in my vehicle are different, so the starter isn’t compatible. I will be returning it, but overall the product itself seems reliable and well made — it just didn’t match my car.

Works and wayyyyyyy better then having to buy the Mitsubishi app that doesn’t work. Easy install , instructions could be better but videos online helped
