Hubsan H507A X4 Star APP Driven Drone GPS 6 Axis Gyro 720P HD Camera RTF Quadcopter

I hadn't previously had good luck with Quads that were controlled by a phone. However this one is a blast. I love the Auto Take off and landing. It usually will land within 1 foot of where it took off. I have tested way points and follow me mode. Both work extremely well for a GPS enabled quad under $100. Using a phone allows you to configure usage and way points much better than a controller would. Flight time is low but as expected for a small copter. The pictures and video are what you would expect for a cheap copter but are great as snapshots. Before I had GPS and Phone I would just have to keep taking pictures and maybe 1 out of a hundred would be good. This is very steady compared to a non GPS at this price and allows for getting the shots you want. I was even able to position it to get a nice photo of my daughter and I. If this was a $200 quad I would have complaints, but for under $100 you're not going to get a better copter.

The drone looks very good and well made the only problem I have with my h507a is the battery life no matter how much I recharge it or how I fly the drone it only last 4 min and few seconds,I tried every possible scenario maybe I got the defective battery , i will update the review if I find a solutionUpdate: after my first review seller contact me to see what the problem was, they told me the battery might be bad and they send me new battery , on the new battery I get 7 to almost 8 min which was expected from a drone in this price range , I changed my review from 3 to 5Ps :seller was following up every step to make sure my problem was solved

Great features on a really inexpensive drone. Flew it in a bit of wind and the GPS keeps it hovering in place. It's easy for my 9 yr old to fly and was a great price. Loaded with features like return to home (takeoff spot), follow me, orbit, and FPV. I understand Hubsan supports this model well with parts and has a range extender too, since 50m is not great. But wow, for the sub $70 price you can't ask for much more. No the camera is not really clear and it is a bit jerky since it is not on a gimble mount. but at 'Toy' prices this is awesome! Yes, the battery only lasts 7 minutes, so at this price you should plan to buy a spare. No connection issues, no problem flying, decent enough camera for the price (though I wish it was pointed down more)... The GPS is a must have for novice flyers in any breeze or say bye bye to that no-gps drone... I'm very happy as is my kid.

This thing is great for the price. I have no problems with controlling it, GPS or waypoint mode like some of the other reviewers. Battery life isn't the best - so I bought two extras to keep flying. I have not had a problem with range, HUBSAN makes an extender if you need more wifi range. Overall very cool, app is impressive too. For 100 bucks not sure you can do much better for a GPS drone.

This seems like a good deal, $100 toy drone with GPS, I like Hubsan, I has several toy drones from them, a few are very good. I looked at reviews, this drone seem like a good bargain, shipping is first, I got it in 2 days, (amazon prime) , for $100 price tag, build quality is good, with decent material.I will say it is rather refine for 100 dollars drone.I downloaded the Hubsan app, it is east to use, but unable to release motor, it always shows "Motor locked", It can take pictures/video, receiving GPS, just wouldn't release motors.I looked at on-line review, the step to release motor is same same as other hubsan drones. I tried with all possible combination of virtual joystick positions, none work. will return it.I would rate it 4 stars if it will fly, but no mater how good a drone is, if this drone unable to take off, still a bad drone in my book.I saw in youtube one guy has similar issue, Hubsan official said he got a Chinese version, can only used in china, so was locked. I think I got a Chinese version too.

Short range. Needs 20 feet of room for error/wind. I crash it only when I fly indoors. App works real well and provides great FPV. Works great on iPad Pro 9.7. Don't take off directly from sandy beaches, it locks the motors and gearing with sand. Pretty good for $80. Not many replacement parts though. You may want to hold out for the 501 series with the RC and the app at the same time. There's a lot more parts available for those. This is my third Hubsan quad.

would be a good thing if the battery was not junkdon't even hold a charge.needs a better battery and charger setup.i did get it up once for the battery died.

Having owned another hubsan h501s, I am totally thrilled with this h507a. Yes the range is limited, but you can buy a relay to extend the range. 4 a quadcopter to have GPS for under $100 should make anybody happy. The things that this drone has that is a definite Improvement over the h501s is it's easier to carry being half the size, has an orbit function follow me function and what truly makes this drone remarkable is it has a waypoint function. The app that hubsan has created allows the user to define the minimum and maximum height of the Waypoint as well as how long it can loiter. However, because the battery is smaller, flight time is around 10 minutes. I would definitely recommend getting an extra battery. For me this is a great drone for taking on trips since getting Airborne selfies I don't need it to travel 1000 M away. also with its GPS function it is remarkably stable. No reason that a young child should not be able to even fly this. Did I mention that it can also return three different ways. It can return from the point that you initialize it at, can land straight from where it is, or it can also land where your smartphone is at. It gives you that choice. This drone will also save your flight plans which makes it far more interesting and Interactive. I gave it 5 stars for what you receive for under $100. I do not know of an other competitor that can pack so much technology for under that price as hubsan does. Definitely fun and easy to fly especially with the intuitive app .

Could not get a gps lock even after 3 full battery charges. Turned gps off to fly manually and can’t lift off straight enough to gain altitude, no matter how many times I calibrate it. Turning off the drone puts one of the motors to full speed while shutting down the other three. I have to take the battery out to shut off all motors, often the propeller just catching me. I left the battery in the drone one time and again one of the motors turned on randomly at full rpm after sitting on my dining table for 2 days powered off. This isn’t just a cheap drone with issues, it’s a very dangerous one that can randomly turn on and cut someone bad.Gonna try flashing the controller, but website has no support for such actions on this model.On a brighter note, the app is well laid out and fairly easy to use.

The media could not be loaded.  Well hubsan did it again! The 507A is a winner! I was sceptic about this drone only being controlled by an app. But to my surprise it's very simple to pair and fly! Hubsan did a great job with the app it's very refined and runs smooth! I easily had it out 150m without any dropout of signal! The wifi transmitter is quite powerful.. And I could have pushed it further but it's hard to see at that distance.. The return to home worked great! Was only a few inches away from the take off point.. The battery is proprietary so you'll have to order another for more flight time the charging time is short so your not waiting for a long time .. I'm getting just under ten minutes of flight time so I'm happy with that! The camera is great for 720p it handles change in different lighting quite well! If your looking for a steady gps drone and that's controlled by your phone/tablet this is the one to buy!Happy Flying!!

I wrote to the seller 1 week ago and still no answer.The battery last 2 min maximum and doesn’t even start at 100% even after full charge.Also i was unable to pair the drone with my iphone 8 ios 13I had to use an old Android phoneI just wish it could work with my iphone and have a new battery just they don’t reply so just don’t buy with them.

The battery lasts 4min and that was for a few flight's only. Now battery won't charge anymore. Replacement batteries cost almost same price as a new unit. Might mod it down the road to take different battery types. If not for the battery issues its a great drone. But kinda pointless when you cant use it.
