WARNING: This book is not for beginers. There are few step by step instructions, the rest you have to figure out on your own. (you lazy people)For those who are not beginers, this book goes fairly deep into the world of Chibi characters. It shows basics in body structures and facial expressions.It also touches bases on many catgirl body types.I feel this book gives you a wide variety of ideas that you can use to create catgirls.All and all this is one of Mr. Hart's better books. One of the facts is that he put less of his style into this book. Which causes it to become more manga, not americanized/manga that he usually draws.Which is a good thing.I really like the section in the back about stylized chibi's from Japan.

I really enjoy this book. I used to check it out of my library as kid and now I own it lol. But it’s great for inspiration for drawing and art block.

This book shows you how to draw chibis and other things. I've never attempted any Japanese style art until now. I recently picked up an interest in it and wanted to learn. This book doesn't exactly show you the basic beginning sketch. If you are good at copying without sketching then I highly recommend this book. It worked great for me. I draw mostly on my ipad.

Bought this for my eleven year old who loves to draw anime. She really likes this book and uses it often. The little chibi characters are really cute and the step by step instructions are excellent. It includes sections on how to draw facial expressions, body laguage, action, beginning a sketch all the way to color. The only thing missing is a "how-to" on shading but you can just look at their examples.She also uses "Manga for the Beginner" (also by Christopher Hart) and "Manga Moods" (by Saori Takarai) both of which I would highly recommend.

I didn't really learn anything from this book but my sister did so im guessing its a good book it shows you steps to get to the drawing they show you they also mix in different stuff to make the chibi's weirder

I purchased this for an elementary school aged child who loves to draw and enjoys anime. She did enjoy the book. She is way past this level, now, but she did enjoy it - gave her a few ideas - when she was at a lesser level.

This book is great. It is teaching my daughter to draw Chibi characters. She is getting really good. The book is really helpful. I would recommend it.

I loved it it shows you preportions of the body and gives easy to follow instructions the best one iv found and iv used alot of chibi books :) and this seller is so good !!

The book is so cool, and it is in really good condition considering it was used before.

I have a love/ hate relationship with Christopher hart books because I love his art style and I love the fact that he does these books, but some of them are very frustrating ! This book was highly recommended to me and I was so excited to get it but then I opened it up , and its page after page of this. I m very disappointed in this book because of the fact there are so many cute poses and absolutely no instructions on how to create these cute little chibis. I want to learn to draw these poses but have no idea how to do so. Plus the pages that do have instructions are weird non chibi sexualized cat girls..um but this is a chibi book so why don’t the cute chibi style cat girls have instuctions?I really wish he had put a bit more time and effort into this book and gave us amble instructions! As a new artist I m finding this book very frustrating to use and I really wish it was more detailed or there was some kind of warning on the label that its more of a reference book.Still I gave it three stars because the art work is super adorable. I will admit though I’m weary of buying anymore of his books as I’m worried that they also will be like this one.This was the fourth book I bought from him and its my least favourite.
