I used it tonight on a small area. (Previous experience removing tarter on more teeth at once with hand tools left tender gums and a sore) I was apprehensive it would work since I don't have large areas of tarter right now and it's mainly between teeth along the gum line.At very first I was thinking there was no way this is going to work. I kept going though, learning how to use it and maneuvering it around. Fairly quickly I got my first piece off. As others have said, it does work best at a certain angle, which is kind of on the side while moving it up and down along the edge of the tarter. It does not even vibrate unless the head is touching something hard. When you turn it on it doesn't do anything until you touch your teeth except emit light. It does turn off after a certain time, probably to ensure it's not accidently left on.I think it was on this device that I read a review from a lady that took hers to her dentist that made me roll my eyes so hard. Of course your dentist is going to say it didn't work and is not going to advocate for the use of these... She doesn't want to lose your money. That review was on my mind when using it and how she said it doesn't work when I kept removing pieces of tarter which is why I decided to show some of the pieces of tarter that I removed for anyone that sees her review and is nervous about purchasing. It removed more than what is pictured but they were very small pieces and some was dust like that got on the (included) mirror or was spit/brushed away... Similar to like saw dust.I am excited to use it more to get rid of the rest of the tarter I have, small areas at a time. It's sad I have to do all this myself, thanks to American healthcare system... but I'm glad I found this as it's faster and safer than using hand tools. Next purchase is a water flosser!!

Registered Dental Hygienist I showed this to, laughed and said it barely can remove coffee stain because anything that can actually remove tartar or what they call calculus, is closely regulated by the Food and Drug Administration. You have to be a licensed professional, a Dentist to even order one.They tested this unit and it is so weak! I just bubbled up the saliva and no matter what setting would not even make a dent in actual tartar, the tooth stones we all build up by our saliva glands behind our tongues and other areas of the mouth. "Send it back, you were lied to. They are betting you are too lazy to return it and just chalk it up to maybe a faulty unit. If they did work, they would be breaking U.S. law."Mentioned to them that it (the box it came in) included a large business card that said if I gave them a 5 star review on Amazon they would give me a $20 gift card, provided I send them a screen shot of the review live on their product listing. "Paying for positive product reviews violate Amazon's terms of service, report them."

Between moving to a new city and covid lock down I have not been to the dentist in a number if years. Unfortunately LOTS of coffee and subpar daily care allowed a tartar build up, stains, and breath I was so embarrassed about. I have tried a similar item in the past with not much success but thought I would give this a try. I'm so glad I did!Before and after shots attached from my first 20 min session. Focus was on the build up behind my front lower teeth. I used the Clean and Strong on the thicker tartar areas lower and between teeth and the Soft and Clean on the stained areas in the middle of the teeth.The light is extremely helpful to see the targeted areas. I found I only needed to glide the tip over teeth. No pressure needed at all! Teeth did not feel any vibration and it did shut off when it touched soft tissueHaving my water flosser close was great as it flushed away the material coming off of my teeth.My teeth feel so clean now, I can actually suck air through the space between them! These results inspire me to really focus on daily care and actually get to the dentist-and not cry in embarrassment;)

This dental hygiene set is probably about as close as you can get to a legit professional set. Certainly nothing can replace regular visits to a dentist however this set when used properly is highly capable at removing plaque and whitening. This set provides just a extra good teeth and oral maintenance so that when you do visit your dentist he/she may take notice and let them decide if it's working or not. I'm sure they may frown upon non practitioners using such a set but if you are careful and responsible there shouldn't be an issue. All attachments and add ons fit very nicely and are made really well. The main unit is rechargeable and all together the set travels nicely. The instructions are comprehensive and easy to follow along on. Great for use on kids to as a way to show them what to expect with thier first dental visit and alleviate fears. All together a solid and quality product and well within a budget range.

I bought this as a hope that it would get the thick layer of plaque off my dogs teeth. The vet quoted over $900 to clean her teeth. She's a rescue dog and her teeth were in bad shape. My other dog died 2 days after getting her teeth cleaned and I know it was from the anesthesia because she was fine before that. Anesthesia is not good for dogs. So obviously I'm super nervous taking my new fur baby in to be put under. I've tried brushing her teeth and the plaque was just glued on her teeth in a thick layer. I bought this with little expectation of working. Well I was extremely surprised. I used the flat top so I wouldn't damage her teeth or poke her accidentally. I glided across the tooth several time and on the side, then bam! Her entire plaque came off! I did this to the other teeth and it all came flying off! The teeth under the plaque are very white. Now I can brush her teeth regularly and not have to worry about putting her under anesthesia for teeth cleaning. Definitely recommend. Just be gentle and patient with your pups while you do it.
