SOG Multitool with Hex Driver Set - Baton Q4 EDC Multi Tool Kit with Pliers, Pocket Knife, Torx and Hex Screwdriver Set with 12 Bits (ID1031-CP)

I purchased this product based on the number of stars, but did not read the reviews. After reading some of the top and negative reviews, I had my regrets but am very happy that I did not cancel the order. This was WELL WORTH THE MONEY! I love this, and SOG has done well once again... will continue to be a repeat customer and heck, I may buy a 2nd just because.Pros:- STURDY, had a nice weight to it but you won't notice it in your pocket...- Fits in the pocket of my jeans with plenty of room left over; convenient.- Light is Bright!- Blade is SHARP! Mine didn't pass the arm hair test but its sharp enough for my liking- Came with a energizer battery! Was quit pleased and surprised and am very happy it uses a full size battery- The blade is in a fixed position, so when its being used, you don't have to worry about the blade chomping down on your finger.Cons:- None really, but would be an improvement to give the user the ability to focus the light.I absolutely love this product... something I would actually carry on a daily basis. I never had the need for a pocket knife, or a flash light by itself... but all 3 (bottle opener) tools in 1 is something I could use on a daily basis.

The Q2 is definitely my favorite of the SOG Baton series. I also own the Q3, which I had high hopes for, but found the Q3 to be bulkier than I expected, and also had the problem of the handle sliding down onto the pliers when you try to use them (Q1 and Q4 have the same problem). But the Q2 is GREAT. I admit, one of the things that attracted me to it, is that it looks a bit like a sonic screwdriver from Doctor Who. Since it has a light, and literally IS a screwdriver, I reckon you could call it a photonic screwdriver! I really like the look of it closed, with the gear pivot. The light is decent, I love that it takes a common AAA battery. Twist to turn on. If you twist it just shy of "on," you can do momentary on/off by pressing your thumb against the side of the bezel. The screwdriver/bottle opener works well, and makes a satisfying "click" when you open and close it. The knife is a decent usable size, keeps an edge. With practice you can deploy and close the knife one-handed pretty quickly. Most people will not realize this is a knife, either. And if you hand it to them, it will take most a while to figure out how to open it. I have a lot of fun fidgeting with the Q2, opening and closing it, flipping it in the air, twirling it in my fingers. It is currently the tool I carry the most, and I definitely use it on a daily basis. I like it so much, when I thought I lost it, I had to immediately get another one. Then I found the old one! Keeping the new one as a backup, though. I love the Q2!

SOG Q4 Multitool with Hex Driver set is a solidly built multi-tool with some unique features that impressed me. The unique way the SOG tool pulls apart to expose the pliers made deploying and stowing them a rather easy task. I found the pliers strong enough to easily hold and loosen all but the tightest nuts that ultimately required a socket to loosen. I also cut 14-gauge wire with no problem. Another nice feature I found was the ability to unfold and lock or fold and lock the knife with the push of a button on a spring lever. (My fingernails are saved trying to dig for the little tab.) On the other handle, there is a combination slotted/Philips’s bit that fits into a ratcheting bit holder. All of the supplied bits Very niceWhile there are good things about this tool, there are also some shortcomings concerning SOG Q4about the multi-tool, especially as it touts itself as an Every-Day-Carry (EDC) tool. To me, EDC means something you carry on your person every day. The long, slim profile at 7 inches and weighing 6+ oz. is difficult to carry. It is like walking around with a big, heavy screwdriver sticking out of your pocket. Other EDC multi-tools come with a belt sheath so it can be worn for EDC. THIS ONE DOES NOT. The case is approx. 1 1/4 inches square by 7 1/8 inches and houses the extra screwdriver bits. It would be good for a backpack or carry bag, but not on your belt or pocket.Although I will not use the SOG Q4 for EDC, I have found a place for it in the glove box of my car. You never only when you will need pliers, a screwdriver, or a knife

Best, lightweight, multitool! I barely use my leatherman surge because I don't work in an environment that needs it and most of the time I just need to use the scissors. With this multipen I can now keep my pocket light weight and comfortable. I carry the skeletool cx, just in case, with this pen so I pretty much have everything I need with these two tools. Great quality a comes very sharp!the bottle opener is smaller than I expected, but it is also sharp; it can function as box opener.I love this thing! now I'm just waiting for the q3 to come out on amazon...I wouldn't recommend using this as your main pain, because the pen is weighted heavily on the top, but for a short session it's fine,

One thing I always do when buying on Amazon is I check a products bad reviews. For the SOG Baton the common gripes were loose for, crappy pliers, and dull blades. All of which I have not experienced with my Q3. It is very sturdy, the pliers are tight and stout, and I sliced both my thumbs. I barely touched the knife blade and got a nice slice with blood. I barely touched the chisel tool and got a real deep cut. Needed butterflies and a bandage to stop the bleeding. Mind you, I was just trying to open the tools when this happened. This I a nice tool and I work in an automotive factory and need tough tools. I definitely recommend.
