After removing the factory adapter for the front speakers and used then on the new Boss speakers it was a perfect fit for my 2005 ram 2500. The only issue was the wires that came with the speakers and trying to figure out polarity. Issue was resolved when I found adapter wire harness from Red Wolf part # 72-6514 and it became just a plug and play very decent sound. Installed in my classic 1981 stepside chevy truck. Really impressed with speaker sound etc.

Sounded great for about an hr.,, then the mids started distorting.Sound was set with an EQ,, & mids were set @ 0.Only running thru a 50w per channel deck also,, & have been a Musician & sound tech. for many years...Am returning these with only having for about a month.If the mids were made a lot better, these would be great speakers for the bread,, as the low end freq. on these is very good,, even without an amp.

My truck from factory has 6x9 speakers in the door and I have replaced them once before with pioneer 6x9 speakers. One of the pioneer speakers quit working so I went ahead and ordered these as a replacement. The pioneer speakers seated perfectly in the existing hole for the 6x9s however the boss ch6930 seems a little too big and would not seat as it should. They seem to be too big for the existing factory cut out. Never had a problem before with the pioneers 6x9s fitment. Don't know if they're all like this or maybe I just got an odd size.
