Remington Squeeg-E Universal Rod Cleaning System, Green

I've been cleaning handguns the old fashioned way for a long time, but when I heard about Squeeg-E I was intrigued--so I took a chance and bought this kit. It's not perfect but it does a great job! And I definitely don't go through patches like I used to. I'd say the Squeeg-Es (+ the included brass brushes) take care of 95% of cleaning the barrel. But I still end up running a patch to see if it's clean; sometimes there's still residue. I think it all depends on how dirty the barrel is and how long you've waited to clean it. The included Remington bore cleaner is good, and the oil is "OK" (I prefer Hoppe's instead). If you want to simplify your gun cleaning and use a heck of a lot fewer patches, this is worth buying. Plus the kit itself is nice and compact with any caliber you'd ever need.

I absolutely love the brushes and squeeg-Es… The only reason that I deducted a star is because of the storage case. The elastic bands that hold the board brushes in place also make it very hard to take the brushes out or put them back. The bristles catch on the elastic material super easy. I removed all the items from the case and put them in a separate cleaning box. As far as the squeeg-Es, I wish I had bought these sooner! They are excellent! They quickly remove excess oil and debris from the boar. After using them I typically only need to use one cotton square afterwords and only as a means to double check that the squeeg-E removed everything. The other items in the kit are pretty standard, good quality items.

I love everything about this kit except the breakdown rod. There are threads on each piece, but there is no way to screw them together! In other words, it looks like they threaded one end and completely forgot to drill and tap the other. This renders the rod completely useless, so I had to go buy another rod. With that said, I am totally sold on these tips. After shooting several rounds through a .270, I followed the directions and the barrel was sparkling clean. Very little mess! I am glad that they did not make the kit more compact, because it leaves room to add some other cleaning items. The case is very sturdy and well made. Other than getting mine with a useless rod, everything else is awesome...

This is the best cleaning kit I have ever used. The case itself is a semi hard shell made of nylon. The inside is also well made. There are all types of bores and squee gees. Comes with a bronze brush and rods. The only thing needed is a mat. I eliminated the calibers I do not use and added a bore light and an AR 15 tool scrapper. Also Im able to fit a small baggie with q tips and a bore light.

Excellent product my buddy had let me use his before and is an excellent cleaning system for guns. I have used it once since getting it and worked well. I think the only improvement I could suggest to Remington would be to put so coating on it so that when you push it through the barrel it isn't metal on metal if the rid slips but that is pretty minor and the likely hood of doing damage isn't very high.

Great, bigger than I thought. Very complete, easy to use.By the pictures, seems to be smaller, but fits well in my bag, no problems.Some parts made with brass, could be encapsulated to be a better storage within the elastic loops.The hard case make it easy for me to storage, in the bag or in the shelf.For handguns is perfect.

This kit is well made and effectively cleans all of my guns.
