Creality Official Ender 3 Extruder Upgrade 3D Printer Capricorn Bowden PTFE Teflon Tube 1.75mm for Ender-3 / Ender 3 Pro/Ender 3 V2 3D Printer

Really should come standard on the ender 5+. Direct replacement for the troublesome plastic original and makes a world of difference. Simply fit and forget.

The plastic extruded that came with my ender 3 was great and I had no issues with it until after 2 years when a crack in the plastic caused the extruded to lose grip on the filament. The upgrade was easy to install, took all of 10 minutes. The only thing I don’t like about this extruded is that the PTFE tube connector is directly into the extruded not a screw in like the previous one. For some reason it makes it harder to remove filaments and ever since I installed it I’ve had an increase of filaments breaking there when trying to remove them. Never had this issue with the previous one.

So my Ender 3 Extruder is nearly 3 years old and, to its credit, isn't damaged or cracked like I have seen others mention in their reviews, so I had a mentality of if it ain't broke don't fix it. That being said I was having extrusion issues with some filament, which I was blaming on the filament for ages. Finally I thought that maybe the issue was the extruder and bought the metal upgrade and I have seen the light! The difference in the upgraded extruders ability to grip the filament and feed it is dramatic. Best tenner I spent in a long time.

I was disappointed to find that the new Creality extruder upgrade kits kits are not designed to take the metal Bowden fittings that come with the printer.It has no threads where the Bowden fitting goes, and instead uses a cheap plastic fitting, that the Bowden tube goes into, and is held with a plastic clip. Gives the feel of a cheap upgrade, with less quality.

Easy to install and good quality parts.

Purchased this kit purely for the Metal Extruder assembly as my tensioner on my Ender 3 had snapped.I will admit the strength of the piece is very good and feels good quality the tolerances are not so good… The mouthing holes are fine and all line up fine and everything holds wonderfully. How ever the guide hole for the filament is either too tight for the 1.75mm filament I use or is inconsistent in its diameter/shape. As I stated above the reason I purchased this was to replace the tensioner arm as this was causing me some under extrusion issues on my prints. Due to the above mentioned issue this new part it means that my issues with under extrusion is now a whole lot worse.In short folks, don’t waste your money here.

Sadly the horribly plasticky extruder that comes as standard with the Ender 3 V2 snapped after a few dozen hours of printing.The plastic cracked around the heat-inset, on the tensioning arm, that is used to hold the drive wheel in place, this meant there was inconsistent tension on the filament so kept getting random under-extrusion during printing.This all-metal (aluminium) extruder is an effective replacement. It is not going to snap,it was easy to fit and just works. It was also a reasonably price, there are other all-metal extruders out there (for the ender3 v2) but they cost more as they come with a bunch of pointless "extra" stuff (nozzles, springs, pneumatic connectors, etc).Basically Creality should have fitted this as standard equipment, it would have added a few pounds to the base cost of the printer but would have been worth it to avoid all the wasted filament and frustration.I am happy with this all-metal extruder.

Bought to replace the plastic extruder on my Aquila printer, and it's a huge improvement. It's far easier to switch filaments now, and the feed is much smoother.
