Excellent heavy-duty cargo stabilizer
The Heininger 4016 HitchMate Cargo Stabilizer is a solid, no-nonsense tool that does exactly what it’s supposed to do—keep loose cargo from sliding around in a full-size truck bed. It adjusts easily from 59” to 73” with a smooth, heavy-duty ratcheting system that locks securely in place. The large rubber feet grip well without scratching the bed walls or liner, and the all-steel construction feels noticeably stronger and more substantial than cheaper cargo bars. Setup is tool-free and takes just seconds—extend it, ratchet it tight, and you’re good to go. I’ve used it for everything from gas cans and toolboxes to grocery runs and yard supplies, and it keeps everything firmly in place even on highway trips. You can also run multiple bars or pair it with the optional StabiLoad divider for even better organization. It comes fully assembled and ready to use right out of the box. Simple, durable, and effective. Highly recommended for anyone who hauls cargo in a full-size pickup and wants reliable, commercial-grade stabilization without the hassle.

Get This One !!
For $41.00 I am impressed. Fits my 2019 Silverado perfectly with room to spare. Very heavy duty in my opinion. Received it in one day.

Excellent, heavy duty bar with a very easy to use action.
Very happy with this cargo bar. Hands down better than the standard ones with a ratchet strap style extender that requires two hands and manipulating multiple small pieces to unlatch. Further, extending this one and then one flip of the long handle sets it in place. Easy enough!

Heavy duty
Purchased as my original was too narrow for my 2024 Chevy Silverado. Locally I could not find one that would be wide enough. Know that you do not receive the small bar that mounts to this, that is sold seperatly. The ad says it, but I did not pay close enough attention and was disappointed in myself. Very well built but heavy. A bit tough to utilize and engage the lock if you're alone. Does stay in place as it should though.

big solid cargo bar worth the price if this is what you need
I have an 83 full size Chevy truck. The bed sides are 72 inches apart and this is the only cargo bar I found big enough. It actually measures out to 74 inches. $45 Is a little on the high end price wise. But it is solid and strong. I do farming and logging work with my truck so I wanted a solid bar and this is it. It never leaves the bed. It's perfect for keeping tool boxes, chainsaws, gas cans, propane tanks, tractor parts, truck parts, hay bales, floor jacks or anything else Ive found put in place. No more cringing when light turns yellow. Lol Price would be only negative but this is the only one I've found long enough for my truck. I do feel I got what I paid for. My truck sits in a barn too so I can't attest to the corrosion aspect. For me it's a 5 star I'd have paid more this is what I needed. It be nice if the other manufacturers made theirs 2 inches longer I'm sure they are good too. I realize they don't make 83 chevy trucks any more and newer ones are a couple inches narrower.

Probably the Best Cargo Stabilizer Bar on the Market
This is a true Heavy Duty Cargo Stabilizer Bar and it's all metal except for the rubber pads which are molded completely around metal supports. Each pad rotates freely on a pivot bolt. The rack (geared horizontal section) is also heavy duty metal with its terminus firmly thru-bolted to the inner tube. The small silver "lever" located on the side of the housing holding the geared handle is basically a spring-loaded "catch" to prevent the handle from moving once secured. The inner tube appears to be coated with some type of translucent gold colored coating, possibly to make it resistant to corrosion. The outer tube and rack are painted black and while the rack and the handle assembly appear not to be a powder coated finish, it seems to be a good coat. The outer tube appears to be powder coated. Will this damage your truck bed? The shortest width bed this can handle once latched is 59-1/2 inches, so if your bed is narrower than this then the answer to your question is definitely yes. The force this unit can apply if one isn't paying attention and just applying brute force is sufficient to possibly force the sides outward. Once a tooth is selected the inner tube will travel 1-1/8 inches outward during the full-engagement/lever catch process. So divide this by 2, and thus the deflection toward each side wall is 9/16 inches. Each "tooth" you move the inner bar inward results in a minus 1/4 inch total length. So, if your bed width is 64 inches and you extend the bar to 64 inches and close the handle the final length installed will be 65-1/8 inches. Move the inner bar inward to catch the next tooth reduces that engaged total length to 64-7/8 inches, and so on. So you can adjust how much tension you put on your bed sidewalls. My suggestion is have someone assist the first time this bar is used. Place it in one of the desired locations in the bed and install it with the amount of tension to firmly secure the bar. Then while it is installed, measure 1-1/8 inches away from the end of the floating portion of the toothed rack (the part that floats above the outer tube) and use colored vinyl electrical tape to place one wrap around the outer tube such that the edge of the tape is aligned with the aforementioned measurement. To check proper placement of the tape, release the handle and slowly swing it open, and as the bar shortens the end of the rack should line up with that tape's edge. If not, try again. For subsequent uses, just slide out the inner tube until the end of the rack aligns with the tape's edge and close the handle. You can repeat this process for multiple fit locations. Due to its weight, it is a bit awkward for one person to install, however it can be done and the trick is to find its balance point with length about where it's needed, lift it into place and secure handle.

Fits an F-150 bed and will extend farther out, or retracts to any smaller size truck bed.
I wasn’t expecting much, but this thing is a beast. It fits great and secures everything in the bed of my 2015 F-150. Very easy to extend and locks firmly in place. I have a tool box with around 500 pounds of stuff in it that slid around in the bed all the time, but this rod keeps it from moving at all.

Worth the Money
This is by far the best laid bar you can use in a full size pickup. It is way more durable and well built than others that are out there.

Good strong load bar
Just what I was looking for. I bought one of the cheaper ones and that what I got (CHEAP). First time I used it with a little weight it bent. This one is way bigger and stronger more like the commercial semi truck ones. I read the reviews and people said it was hard to set up and tighten. Maybe I'm used to it as years and years ago I used them driving truck but if you leave it just an inch or so from the sides it works great and doesn't bend with something floating around the box. Great product and will be buying another in the future.

Works excellent in trailer and truck bed to stabilze loads
I have the smaller style $30 cargo bar to hold plastic storage bins from sliding around in my truck bed and it does the trick for light stuff and is a one handed install but it bends and wiggles around and no way would I use it to secure anything. If you want to haul heavier or awkward things this Hitchmate cargo bar is a beast. I have used it in in both my landscape trailer to secure things like ladders to the floor or truck tires. Once you get the hang of the space the bar requires to clamp it is simple and when set it holds. It is heavier than the low cost cargo bars and takes 2 hands to install but their is a reason. This thing is built like a tank. I also have the accessory clamp that attaches at a 90 and it is a great add on for stabilizing things from sliding side to side. I'm very pleased with this bar and when you pick it up or put it beside the $30 cargo bars the difference is easy to see. This bar is very well built. Slide it out until it touches the side of the bed, then pull it back a few teeth and test the clamp, it too tight or loose flip back and move one more tooth and try again. After using it a few times I can get it right in one go. The release mechanism works very well allowing for a secure clamp set up and quick removal. So far I'm impressed.

Buena
Es un poco incomoda ya que es dentada y no de rosca ajustable, pero es funcional
