Varietal: Geisha Farm: Finca Santa Teresa Process: Natural Altitude: 1400 -1800 Meters Harvest: Current Cupping Notes: Dried Mango, Watermelon, Cherry. *This Geisha placed 5th in the best of Panama Auction 2016 for exotic naturals category* Description: "Finca Santa Teresa is blessed with rich black volcanic soil, a high altitude location and favorable weather patterns associated with both the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans; this results in coffees of singular quality. The Finca is located along a series of beautiful valleys and ridges which create a variety of micro-climates and give individuality to each of their lots. The Finca is located at 1400-1800m and the coffee planting is interspaced by live barriers, streams, and broad sections of virgin forest. Squirrel monkeys and many of the 600 species of birds in the area are often seen in and around the Finca. Adjacent to the farm is the La Amistad International Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site jointly managed by Panama and neighboring Costa Rica. FST operates a best practice approach to all of its activities."

Generic package, pods not labeled, tastes like cheap medium roast
Item was received in a generic white box with 4 small stickers on it indicating organic, Geisha FST, and Panama reserve, and the 4th was a Canadian flag. Pods inside were stacked irregularly and had no labeling, just a white pod with a purple rim. The bottom of the box appeared to have been previously opened and subsequently taped shut in an irregular fashion. Top of the box was sealed with a Panama reserve sticker over a piece of tape. The coffee had no distinct taste, but tasted of cheap medium roast identical to what is sold (in appearance) at my local grocery store for 33 cents per piece. Seller indicated appearance may vary from shown but the packaging instills little confidence that what I paid a premium price for is anything of the sort.
