Hairline crack BUT second order arrived intact
Really disappointed, arrived with a hairline crack, from the rim to halfway down the side. A shame because I really like the cup, exactly the right size for a cortado coffee.It was so poorly packaged that I decided to do a really good inspection on arrival... on video!In the end, video not needed for return, but it still leaves me with having to take it to a post office. Returns seems to be the ONLY reason I ever need to go to a post office!Insult to injury, its now 10% cheaper, just one day later.EDITI risked ordering again, and this time it arrived intact. Its such a lovely cup. Perfect for my morning coffee hit and those contemplative moments with a coffee during the day.Just a small point... these need to be much better packaged by Amazon.

Great buy
Really good for short Nespresso, dishwash safely and have survived for several months now. Lovely colouring, accurately shown in the pictures. Will buy again

Disappointed.
Disappointed as you cannot hold the cup with tea or coffee in as it s too hot. Also the colour is much darker than the picture and the gilding also too dark. Otherwise it is nice to hold with thin lip.

Tidy little cup
Looks good, feels goos and does the job. It also makes a relatively Nice ornamental cup if that is what you decide to use it for.

Arrived broke
Received the cup but it was broken, very disappointing as it was brought as a gift.

Beautiful but not sure it’s food safe
Mug is nice to hold and looks beautiful but I’m not entirely sure if it’s food safe as it’s started to stain from my drinks even after washing thoroughly, and fluid seems to cling to it the same way it does to unglazed stoneware.

A very nice cup, used for a variety of small drinks.
As the product title says it's earthenware which means the porcelain has some texture to it. I've used for plain water, tea and coffee so far and all are fine. I'd guess it is a genuine Japanese product because it has the same feel as other earthenware items I've had in the past and the gold gilding is inconsistent (mine is a bit higher on the cup than in the pictures but it doesn't show well on camera). Recommended if you're happy with the price.

Perfect cup
Beautiful coffee cup, I bought these for my new coffee pod machine and use them everyday, they are just the perfect size for my morning espresso.
