Q: Does this product eventually break down or you have to remove it once grass grows? Does it get caught in mower if not removed?

It will eventually break down. I live in a semiarid environment so the grass getting caught was not an issue. I would not remove it. It protects the grass and soil.

Q: i want to naturalize a steep hill. Will this keep the ground in place?

IT seems to work pretty well on my hill
