This book is ace. I've been reading loads of bilingual books to my 3-year-old and this is the best one so far because it's actually a proper story with characters trying to solve a problem. It's engaging as a story in its own right. So many bilingual books feel like a list of unrelated events where the author is trying to teach language but they've forgotten the most important element - THE STORY! They should know that the story is the hook that actually engages the child.Well done to the team that put this book together. Interesting characters, interesting setting, nice little problem to solve, a satisfying end and sweet illustrations too. Buy it. It's the only bilingual book that my daughter asks for. I hope these guys are going to write more books. Well done. Bought to help me teach French to my grandchildren. They enjoyed eating it with me and found it pretty funny. It’s the kind of book you can read with them over and over quite a few times. Seems to be published in lots of languages - but It doesn’t seem to be part of a series. That’s a pity. Probably around 10 of these in different topic areas would provide a solid base vocabulary for learning another language in a fun way.

This is a huge hit with our 3 1/2 year old daughter. Requests for an encore had us read it three times through the first night and twice through again tonight. She’s picked up the french words quickly and loves the story. It’s beautifully written and illustrated and the characters are full of personality. I hope this is the first of many like it.

A smashing book to help youngsters (and oldies, too) learn french. Love the little colloquial touches in the language - much more how it is spoken in France rather than what is taught in school. Looking forward to some of the other languages. Well done!

Lovely book with a great story and illustrations and it’s great that it teaches children simple words of French with an easy reference at the back of the book. Apparently this author has several books in this genre with different languages.
