TIME For Kids Super Science Book Paperback – August 11, 2009

We are using this book as a supplement to our science lessons for third grade level home-schooled kids. Over a hundred pages of lesson sparking ideas from how to make an eardrum, to how to conduct heat, to gasses vs. solids vs. liquids, etc. Every page or two includes a hands on project/experiment with simple instructions, including diagrams. we look on the internet for teaching the foundation of the topic, then use the pictures, additional information and experiments to cap off the lesson on Freaky Friday. The back of the book covers how to write a report and the scientific method, and a glossary amongst other things. Great fun for students.

Being a science teacher, I was skeptical about buying this book. I must say that I was so enthused by it when I received and read over it that I am buying a couple more for friends. NO! It isn't full of rocket science, but what it does have are simple experiments that have some wow factor for young kids. Each section has small bits of science facts (digestible -for kids) to link to the experiment. If you have an elementary or middle school child in your family, this is a great gift!!!

This book has fun ideas and is written in a clear and logical way. I like my daughter to have one or two good reference books and this suited well.

I loves this stuff in school. Now, I can show my kids how smart their dad is, by explaining stuff before they learn about it. Wife also has said Hmmmmm, a few times. Kids, 6 and 8, read it over and over.

A great learning tool for kids! My nephew loved the learning experiements and there was no expense for supplies. Everything he needed was a household item. Had so much fun learning and stimulated his interest in science.

Excellent idea book for simple science experiments for my inquisitive 10 year old grandson to try with supervision. Helpful to grandmothers and mothers alike to stimulate creativity in their young ones.

we have 5 younger kids that fully enjoy the projects in here. there are 8 total). the experiments are easy, eductional and fun..some cool things we have gone through so far.

It has some decent things in this book, but it isn't the greatest book that I have purchased on this subject.
