I used these in a wire dog cage for my pullets. I moved them outside and they have held up. In fact, one of my girls insists on roosting in the bowl every night instead of the coop. They aren’t huge bowls either. As you can see, in one of the pics, the holder is only hanging on one side. I fixed it but she knocks it off. Anyways, they do what they are made for and I really don’t have much to complain about. I will say it is easier to just take the bowl and holder off together to fill. Trying to just get the bowl out alone knocks the holder off.

These did not seem cheap and flimsy to me like some reviews. I bought them a second time for our cat habitat because they are nice and light weight, hang on the wire walls just like I expect, and they look good and so far (several months) they have held up nicely. They are easy to take out and put back, they clean up nice and the water dishes seem like they keep the water fresh and cool more than other types of dishes. These are not super heavy duty, nor did I expect that for the price point.

We got this for a dog we need to crate, she knocks it out of the support and it falls all over her cage. There is no adhesive to keep it in place even just a little. Probably would be okay for a smaller dog.

This is PERFECT! My dog drags his food bowl to the back of his crate and its hard for me to reach it to clean it and now with this bowl he can't!!! He did knock it off but easy clips back on and I put duct tape on the clip so now he can't knock it off much to his disappointment but not mine! LOL. I actually put my other dog bowl inside this bowl and take it out to clean. My bowl has higher sides so I use that bowl for his food and it fits perfectly inside the bowl that comes with this attachment. I can put 2 cups of food in his bowl. The bowl that comes with this has low sides so my messy dog would slop his food all over but putting his regular bowl inside this bowl prevents a mess. This has made feeding time so easy!!! I love this product and will order more for my other dogs. Having an elevated food bowl is better for dogs healthwise so this is just a great way to feed your dog. Love this product!!!

I appreciated that this bowl was available as an add-on item. I received a clean, decent sized stainless steal bowl with a sturdy wire hanger to attach to the wires on a standard small animal cage. I am using this for a guinea pig and have found that the design of the wire hanger is poor and does not withstand the piggie propping himself on it to eat. When he does this the wire hanger falls off the cage and the bowl dumps out. In order for it to be workable the wires need to be bent closer together to keep it from falling. I haven't done it yet but am planning to get the pliers out to tighten it up. I'm not sure if that will keep the bowl secure but it should keep it clamped to the side. Anyway, not a bad product for the cost of an add-on with some minor adjustments.

I got this bowl for my Flemish Giant bunny. I use it as her water dish. The bowl’s big enough that she won’t run out of water and doesn’t take up a lot of space. It’s super easy to clean and set up. I’m happy with my purchase.

I bought 2 of these bowls for my rabbits for two separate cages. They always seem to thump their water bowls or knock them over and get their cages wet. I wanted something that I could hook on the side of their cage that would be out of their way. When the bowls arrived, they were a little bigger than I expected. I guess I should have read more carefully that these were 30oz bowls. Would probably make good bowls for cats or puppies to sit straight on the floor without the clip or round metal bowl holder. I filled them probably half way with water and put the clip attached to the round metal bowl holder in place where I wanted the bowl to sit in the cage. It looked weird because the round metal bowl holder was leaned back really far and I knew if I put the water bowl into it, it would not sit straight and would pour out into the cage. I cautiously tried it thinking that the weight of the water would make the whole ensemble come down some and even out and it would become level. That did not happen. The bowl leaned all the way back, and as I figured, the water came pouring out. I tried to bend the metal pieces to where the bowls would sit level but they didn’t budge. So now I have 2 bowls that lean backwards and there is no way that my rabbits can drink out of them unless they stood straight up on their back legs on one side of the bowl and drank the water towards the back side of the bowl (The water that hasn’t spilled out). I really wanted these to work so I tried as hard as I could again to bend these clips attached to the round bowl holder until I eventually broke it. They won’t bend or budge. So I just sat the bowls down in the cage and threw the broken clips away. I didn’t even want to fool with sending them back. There is no reason that these clips and this round metal bowl holder should be shaped in such a way that it makes the bowls sit high up and bend backwards. Very disappointed. The only way that I can see these working with the clip ensemble is if you have a bird that can fly up to the bowl and perch on it. Even then you cant put a lot of food or water in it because it leans so far back. I wouldn’t waste my money on these!

These bowls are perfect for my needs. I feed my dogs a combination of dry and wet dog food which is very messy so I like to wash their dishes after every meal. They are fed twice a day. I have three dogs. This makes for a lot of dirty dog dishes. These are easy to hook onto the side of their kennels, and then remove to throw into my dishwasher. I bought two of them to start and I am coming back today to buy 10 more. I am not using them for a water because they would be too easy for the dogs to tip over, but I think that with adult dogs they wouldn’t bother doing that. My puppy thinks it’s fun to throw her food and water everywhere so for now these will not be water dishes.

This thing works great. The design is simple. It isn't "heavy duty". If you have a rowdy or big dog, it'll get knocked over for sure. Go to the dollar store and spent $1 on a pack of zip ties and tie it down. I used 3 zip ties and tied it slightly elevated. He can't move the thing at all. It is now as heavy duty as it'll get. It is a pain to have to reach in for the bowl.. but hey, should have gotten a better dog then.

I bought this bowl to add to the dogs create. I put water in it to see what she would do. There is a regular water bowl that is out on the floor. She prefers to go to her create to get the water - not sure if it is because it's at her standing height? Sometimes she goes between both water bowls at the same time, but more to the create. The water bowl is made of a thin metal than expected, but it accomplishes its purpose. I can't comment/compare to the quality of similar products because this is the first one I have purchased. This is also a decent size for a medium size dog as most i have noted are smaller. Water does spill out but it's in the create and I don't mind.

This has been a good option for me due to the size, but over all it’s not too impressive. Thankfully my pup isn’t too rambunctious in his crate, or I think we’d have some spillage as the bowl just exactly fits in the bracket and the bracket just exactly balances on the crate bars. But over all, I’ll keep using it. I was also excited to discover that a recyclable margarine container fits into the bracket for travel or when I’m washing the bowl.
