Featuring a durable aluminum wear surface and a high-performance adhesive backing that withstands extreme temperatures, it offers easy peel-and-stick installation on various surfaces. Sold in packs of four 12" x 12.5" sheets, it requires only partial coverage for optimal noise reduction, making it the go-to solution for automotive and industrial soundproofing needs. ## Description Boom Mat is a high quality simple and effective solution in eliminating the low frequency noise problems found in structure-borne vibrations caused by typical automotive noise sources. Simply trim to desired size, peel backing and apply to a clean surface. Boom Mat is constructed of a viscoelastic polymer layer protected by a durable aluminum wear surface and it’s strong adhesive backing is unaffected by extreme hot and cold temperatures and can be applied to horizontal, vertical and inverted areas on metal, plastic, fiberglass and most other automotive surfaces. Available in a variety of sizes for a cost effective installation. Use as a first layer for areas with contours and bends for vibration damping needs. ## Features - Eliminates low frequency noise problems and only requires 25-50% coverage for optimal performance - High performance adhesive maintains adhesion throughout temperature extremes - Flexible material is easy to install - trim to size with Boom Mat Blade Lock Knife (sold separately) - The industry standard in vibrational damping technology with multiple uses including automotive, commercial and industrial applications - Durable weatherproof construction is also corrosion resistant ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B000MY3NI0 | | Best Sellers Rank | #9,287 in Automotive ( See Top 100 in Automotive ) #18 in Automobile Insulation | | Brand Name | Design Engineering | | Coverage | 25-50% | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 4.7 out of 5 stars (36) | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00607078502025 | | Included Components | Design Engineering Damping Material - 12" X 12-1/2" (2Mm) - 4.2 Sq Ft - 4 Sheets | | Item Dimensions L x W | 30.5L x 31.8W centimeters | | Item Thickness | 2 Millimeters | | Item Type Name | Design Engineering Damping Material - 12" X 12-1/2" (2Mm) - 4.2 Sq Ft - 4 Sheets | | Item Weight | 2.3 Pounds | | Manufacturer | Design Engineering | | Manufacturer Part Number | 50202 | | Manufacturer Warranty Description | Please contact us if you experience any issues within 30 days of receipt. | | Material Type | Sound-absorbing material or rubber | | Model Number | 50202 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 4 | | Recommended Uses For Product | Sound insulation and vibrational damping | | UPC | 607078502025 | | Unit Count | 4 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Design Engineering - **Item thickness:** 2 Millimeters - **Material:** Sound-absorbing material or rubber - **Product dimensions:** 30.5L x 31.8W centimeters - **Recommended uses for product:** Sound insulation and vibrational damping ## Images ![Design Engineering 050202 Boom Mat Sound 2mm Damping Material with Adhesive Backing, 12" x 12.5" (Pack of 4) - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71mOfMqidkL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size** options. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.cy/products/412615771-design-engineering-050202-boom-mat-sound-2mm-damping-material-adhesive](https://www.desertcart.com.cy/products/412615771-design-engineering-050202-boom-mat-sound-2mm-damping-material-adhesive) --- *Product available on Desertcart Cyprus* *Store origin: CY* *Last updated: 2026-11-01*
