2007 Colorado worked perfectly

This tailgate opener is easy to install but made of plastic...delicate!
The headline says it all. Once installed, the opener requires a delicate touch to avoid breaking the plastic parts.

Tailgate Handle Died And Couldn't Open Tailgate
Had never dealt with a tailgate problem before so wasn't sure if it was the handle or something to do with the latch mechanism on each side of the tailgate. Removed the part of the bed liner covering the inside of the tailgate and the access panel for the handle. The handle was broken where one of the rods that connects to the side latch was attached. Removed the little clips that held the rods in place, removed the handle, installed the new handle, clips, replaced access cover and bed liner. 15 to 20 minutes. Simple job. (Should note that I opened it up first to verify problem was the handle. Once I knew it was the handle, closed everything up and ordered the new handle. Needed to use the truck and didn't want to leave things open while I waited for the handle.)

Its very modestly priced and seems to mirror the original
I at first thought the lock portion required the existing metal link rod,however when I went to dispose of the packaging the new fell from the plastic/foam envelope and I was able to have all new materials.So far I am very pleased time will tell.
