Beautiful metal dice with unique container
I've purchased several types of dice over the years, but these are a first for me. I have several sets of metal dice that are solid, weigh a lot, and leave punctures in paper and some table tops when used. With this set, you won't have to worry much about damaging anything you roll them on.First off, these dice are just beautiful and exceptionally light. Since they're hollow you can actually look through them, and the weight is about the same as you'd expect from a solid plastic die. Cameras don't quite capture the detail, or the sheen you'll see on these dice. The detail is very intricate, with a box/spoke connectivity, and small etched dragons creating every face and holding the numbers. They all come individually wrapped in a plastic bags, inside a leather pouch, inside a wooden box with leather strapping and brass bradding. The presentation on these is fantastic, and people will fear these dice, right up until you go to roll them...One unexpected bit about having hollow dice is the sound they make when they interact with each other, or any metal object/surface. Rolling the two 10-sided dice together in one hand (or any of the set together) causes the dice to "ring". The sound is about what you'd expect from Baoding balls, not quite that of a cat/jingle bell. The fact that they are hollow means anytime they strike a metallic surface, including other dice, they create this ringing noise. As for balance and randomness, I did quite a bit of rolling and found them to be quit random. Each number is easily reachable, with no clear bias toward a specific face or set of faces. They use the standard traditional distribution patterns, with opposing min/max numbering, which avoids clustering of numbers near their neighboring sequential numbers (as best as they can on smaller dice).Overall, I'm quite impressed by these dice. The fact that they're light and usable on standard table tops without damage is really nice. The only downside is the minor metallic ringing, which could was really only a negative because it was unexpected. If you want a unique set of beautiful dice, these are well worth the asking price.

Super cool
Wow! These dice are so cool!First off, they are packaged very well! I loved that each die was individually packaged to avoid them bumping into each other in transit. They are coated metal and I was a little worried they would already be a bit chipped from shipping. That did not happen because of the extra packaging care.Secondly, the carrying case box is really cool looking. It adds an extra touch to the presentation of the dice. You still get a nice drawstring pouch to carry them in if you need something smaller.Thirdly, the dice themselves are very carefully crafted. Even on the small sides you can see the tiny dragon behind each number. The dice are also hollow which adds to the visual appeal. Being metal, they are pretty heavy too. They feel like substantial playing pieces when it’s your turn to roll them.Over all I am very impressed and will be ordering more as gifts for our friends that also enjoying playing D&D.

You want these dice
The media could not be loaded. I LOVE THESE DICE! I’d give these 10 stars if I could.I’ve held and tossed a LOT of dice in my many years. All degrees of plastic, metal, and wood.Nothing compares to these. They are, simply put, beautiful. Each die is hollow with a dragon behind the number on every face. To me, the antique look is by far the best but there are other color variations available. I have a range of dice types, my heaviest full metal 20 is 42 grams. This 20 is 15g (remember hollow) and bounces better. They are overall a bit larger than run of the mill dice but not overly so. These feel right. They sound right. They bounce across the table right. The chime when they hit each other and when you pick them up is awesome. Check out our roll testing video! The box is very ‘fantasy’ looking and made of some kind of pressed board. It’s light but solid enough.Weights20-sided: 15g12-sided: 11g10-sided: 10g8-sided: 10g6-sided: 11g4-sided: 1gYou want these dice!

An expensive gift for that nerd in your life
This set of hollow metal dice comes with the usual assortment : d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20 and an added d10 with tens that can be combined with the normal d10 as a pair for percentile dice. The Ancient Bronze set has a burnished number on each side that is easily readable set on a sculpted dragon image. They seem to be true and random (I don't really have the patience to do hundreds of trials, for my efforts I rolled them a few times and they came up suitably random). The metal is solid, but the heft leads me to believe that they are a lighter alloy (even accounting for the hollowness). This is good as I don't really want to leave a bunch of dents in the table top or game board. The dice are packaged, individually bagged inside a pleather pouch, inside a small treasure chest box.Overall, the price is high, but these dice will make you stand out as the nerdiest of your nerd friends on game night. Embrace that inner nerd. P-)
