Gran Turismo 7 Standard Edition - PlayStation 5

If you love racing games, this is a must-have. The realism is incredible—from the cars to the tracks. Driving feels smooth and immersive. Pair this with a racing wheel and it’s an unbeatable experience!

I've been playing the Gran Turismo series since the beginning, and this game brings the series to a whole new level I couldn't have ever comprehended before. The new features such as buying aftermarket parts, upgrading both mechanical and cosmetic parts, as well as the introduction of the used car lots and legend cars dealership makes the game far more incredible than I could have ever expected. The gameplay is both challenging and fun all at the same time. The handling of the cars feels good, though it takes time to master (especially for more high-performing cars). The graphics are beautiful and the content is seemingly endless. I have sunken over 200 hours into the game already, and I'm certain that I won't stop playing anytime soon. The game is worth every penny. Even if it's not on sale, it's worth it if you are a fan of racing simulators.

Family enjoys playing Grand Turismo!

Gran Turismo 7 for Playstation 5 is just as good if not better than its incarnates, it is certainly better than GT Sport in my opinion. In GT7, whilst the game is installing you can race in a mini game called Music Rally. Although, the music can get annoying in this, the cars that you use are fun to drive. After installation you are prompted to buy a used car with the 20,000 credits that are given. In the early stages of the game, you'll spend most of your time flipping between the cafe and Sunday Cup races. In the cafe, you are given a menu book and this is how you can unlock other parts of the GT world map, earn cars and unlock new tracks as you progress in the game. At certain points you will also need to acquire specific licenses like you do in previous versions to advance. The controls on the standard PS5 controller are easy to master but I can not comment on other controllers. The graphics in game are superb in my opinion, just like watching a video but your the main character in it. Every detail I can think of is there including shadows, reflections and varying weather options. The sound is good, but I can find the BG music both in game and in the menus irritating, but once I figured out how to turn them off and only have Sound Effects and other ambient sounds, got more enjoyment from the game. Overall an extremely good game and perhaps a must have game to those who like driving/racing simulators but I think the RRP of AU$109.95 is a little to high. I'd wait until you get it at a discounted price. I'd certainly would not pay anymore than the RRP if you can avoid it.

This lives up to all expectations. This game is about real to simulation driving without a simulation set up. If you invest in a simulation racing setup, you will be well pleased. Hours and hours of fun.

I would give this game 5 stars, but am deducting one because the first time I wanted to use it, I couldn't for a few hours. It had to do some updating. I have 100 MBPS fiber optic internet so the delay was not on my end. Eventually I was able to play. The interface was confusing to me at first. If I had to learn it again I would watch some of the tutorial videos on YouTube. Now that I am familiar with the game I am very impressed with the graphics and the level of detail. I like that the game has 4 options for steering: 1) A 3rd party steering wheel, 2) The left joystick, 3) The left/right buttons, and 4) Tilting the controller. You can map the functions to other controller buttons if you don't like the default layout. I agree with other reviewers that I don't like the so called "micro-transactions". $10 or $20 to buy game credits is not what I consider "micro". But if you do some searching of the gaming websites you can find which races to enter to earn credits quickly. All in all, I am very happy with buying this game and look forward to many hours of white knuckle driving on the edge of my seat!
