Great item, works well. Always have a backup solution.
My main way of flash syncing is using wireless radio triggers, but any good photographer should always have a backup. This sync cable is my backup of choice. The quality was really good, if you buy this kind of cable at a photography shop they charge you upwards of $20-30. That's without the screw lock option for those expect to pay an extra $5-10.The customer service from DSLR was excellent, it took 7 days from ordering the product to receiving it.They ship from China and I'm in California so 7 days is remarkable, free shipping also. When I order from Adorama they usually take 8-10 days and they charge for shipping!I tried the sync cable with all short of cameras, from half frame to DSLR,TLR,folding polaroid lands and my mirrorless via a seagull SC2 adapter.Cable worked on all of them, I haven't had a chance to measure the length, but it does look like to be 10-16ft.Pretty happy, and yes the cable works on non threaded ports just fine. There was no slop in fitment or lose connection. As for longevity it depends on use, this will only be my backup so I see it lasting me a lifetime. For regular use I'd say it would last a full year.

Great little product
I shoot both film and digital photography, yet I purchased this sync cable specifically for my film work. I've tested this with my TLR Mamiya C220, Konica Auto S2, Canon AE-1 (just to name a few), and they've all seem to work just fine with rarely any misfires. My only advice would be to make sure that the connections are secure when shooting as they seem to easily move even when connected. Like I said, I rarely had any issues with misfires, but still, they have happened. So although it doesn't bother me, you may want to consider a higher grade or more expensive sync cord if this is a huge issue for you. Then again, my film cameras are very old and leaf shutters, although built very well, are not perfect. But for me, this specific product has worked out just fine.

Well-made and apparently reliable.
I needed to use my electronic flash off-camera, and my older cables were too short for the task. This long cable gave me the flexibility I needed. I've fired about 50 pictures with it, and everything worked well.

Excellent product and as described
Excellent product and I believe it is durable. It's length is more than enough for the flash metering.

functions properly, seems decently made
Screws in properly to Nikon SB-24, and SB-26 flashes, and D300.Synchs properly.Strain relief seems OK on the plug ends, though the failure spot is usually at the edges of strain relief.Time will tell...too soon to comment on reliability, but seems well worth the price.

Thick Cable & Quality Connectors
This cable works fine with my new Olympus E-M1. The PC screw end screws in securely to the PC connector on the camera. The other screw end of the cable goes into a non-screw PC connector on a flash adapter and works fine. I'm really only using this as a backup to my wireless flash system, but for the price this is a nice cable.

does the job
I like that it's threaded so I don't have a loose connection. I put heat shrink tube on mine to prevent stress on the cable. works great so far.
