Using it for curly hair for 3a,3b, 3c or anyone in the 4s is difficult because you have to make sure you use Wave brush and get it into a tight poney tail first then smooth at the hair with detangler as well as conditioner that's also in line with Curly Method products. Yes you aren't supposed to brush curly hair out but to get it into a perfect military bun you have to. Be sure to wash at top of the week and end of your week. Rest just smooth out with your products again curly hair friendly but still gives a smooth appearance. Try to let hair down on days off to let your curls flow naturally and during PT since authorization of the pony tail. Braids are in now but for us longer hair people we still got to keep it up. Keep up with grooming and appearance standards as it always seems to be changing.

These are the best! I have many bun shapers and these are by far THE BEST on the market. The smallest one makes a large bun, the large makes an enormous bun. The material grips the hair well and the snap is the best feature. Because of the coloring and texture, if you have a gap it's barely noticeable. I've found my new bun helper for life.

I absolutely love these snap sock buns. When I want to wear my hair up in a fancy updo I just snap two of them together to make an extra large bun that allows me to create multi layer hairstyles in minutes. I also like the ease of gently rolling my hair around the mesh like a curler and then snapping it closed. My waist length hair is very difficult to pull through the holes in traditional sock buns and leaves so much hair hanging out that I would look like Marge Simpson if I repeated the process until all of my hair was up. If your hair is very long, this sock bun is a lifesaver.

I'm a little impartial to this style of "hair bun shaper" as I have been using them for probably a decade. I've purchased some in stores, other Amazon retailers, and recently replaced mine with this set here. These are so easy to use and give such a clean, finished style. They are incredibly secure, as well. I wish they sold just the smaller size because I will never use the large version, but it's still worth the money for the 2 littler ones.

These do the job fine, and made a nice looking bun for my daughter's ballet recital. But I had to use several bobby pins to get this to really stay in place, which was okay but I was hoping to avoid. Also, make sure you check where it's shipping from. My order shipped from China, which I don't mind, but it took WEEKS to get here and thankfully arrived THE DAY OF the recital. I would suggest checking Sally Beauty if you have one locally. The price was very similar and you can get it same day. But in terms of the product, it does what it should. Solid 4 stars.

Removed one star because the Velcro removed a chunk of my hair. I have super fine and thin hair so I’m sure that may have contributed. But, product works great and stays secure for hours! Would buy again but will remove Velcro immediately before use in the future
