I have keys and 2 badges and this is very durable. I been using it for at least 4 months and is still holding everything with out breaking. The reel is wire and not cloth which i think makes it very durable. Worth the price

I used this badge reel for two shifts in the ER before the cable began to fray. It wasn't long before it completely snapped from the inside. Awful product.

Very heavy on my uniform but heavy duty and pretty

Updated review:The company reached out to me and sent me a replacement. So far they are working great! Maybe I just got a defective one. But really happy because it’s what I wanted in the first place.I bought these because they looked nice but the black one broke right after I tried to test how far it extends. I still have the pink one and I try not to extend it as much for fear it will break as well.

I really enjoyed the colors and the weight of the badge reels. But the first one (rainbow) only lasted 4 months. It snapped off at the connection so repair was not possible. The rose gold lasted less than an hour. The first time I pulled out the cord (about 1 foot) it jammed and would not retract all the way (about 6 inches hanging out). So in the trash it went. It's a shame I really had hopes for them.

I had this for 33 days before the wire snapped.To be completely up front, I have a tendency to get these caught in things, so I bought the wire one, hoping it wouldn't snap like the string ones do. It still snapped. (- 1 star)If you work in a plant, construction etc, I wouldn't recommend this one.Otherwise it had a nice weight, decent pull, maybe a little short for things like pulling it out a car window to badge an access kiosk, I usually only had just enough length and occasionally came up short, based on car position. (-.5 stars)The outer casing is also soft enough to have quite a few scratches on it for only a month, considering it was pretty well protected on my belt (-.5 stars)

Very durable and sturdy

Both of them broke within 1 day of use. I bought these because I do housekeeping at a hotel and I was trying to use my key care and it broke and hit me in the head. The performance is not there. The value for your money isnt there either. It is not stable, but it was easy to use. I'm totally disappointed. I had high hopes.

Broke within the first shift

Both broke on the first use-- they are poorly made, the internal winding track/wheel isn't deep or wide enough to keep the wires from slipping off and tightening on the interior mechanism so it's a matter of time if you get one that doesn't do this, before it does. Neither were pulled to their maximum, or pulled roughly. I'm not kidding, they both lasted one pull each, and every subsequent pull to try to correct it just made the wire worse.

Used it for 2 months and it already broke. Pretty disappointed
