HALO 6 inch Recessed LED Disc Ceiling & Wall Light – Surface Mount – 5000K - White – 6 Pack

The Halo HALO HLCMS9129301EWH is a very well made, well-designed surface-mount LED light fixture. The light is bright - 1282 lumens, or about the brightness of an 80 watt light bulb. The light quality is much better than most of the light fixtures (with a CRI, or color rendering index, of 93) .I've installed a number of motion sensor lights, and the Halo HLC9 is the best quality by far. It's well made, has good instructions, and includes the hardware for installation for a variety of situations. It's produced by Cooper Lighting.This fixture produces 3000K light. (There's also a 4000K version for those who prefer whiter light, HLCMS9129401EWH.) The beam angle is 115 degrees, so a wide flood light. It does a good job of dispersing light for this type of slim, surface-mounted fixture.The light turns itself off after about 35 seconds if no motion is detected. That's perfect for my applications (laundry room, storage shed) but perhaps not all uses.The light looks good. It's 9.5" in diameter and 1.9" tall.The LED is dimmable to 10% with a compatible dimmer, according to the specifications, but I haven't tested that feature.Unfortunately, the title of the Amazon listing does a very poor job of describing the key features of the light (motion sensor, surface mounted, 3000K or bright white, 1200 lumens). So this fantastic fixture doesn't turn up in a search.

I like the look and brightness of these lights. I also liked that it comes with everything you need to install the light fixtures if you are replacing other lights already wired in your home. I am handy enough that after watching a few YouTube videos I was comfortable installing them myself which was nice since I didn't want to have to hire a handyman or electrician to do the job for me.

A most have

The media could not be loaded.  These Halo surface mount lights are super easy to install. They have the look of recessed lights, but they are mostly flat. These lights can replace bulky lights or ugly ceiling fans to give a clean look. These have LED lights which should be very long lasting. These emit a soft white light and I love the look of these. These lights may be a good option for those who have existing surface mount lights and would like to replace them with something smaller and/or more efficient or just prefer this installation method over an actual recessed light. Personally, I chose to use them for closet lightingAbout as low profile as it can get without actually being recessed, this fixture takes up just enough space to house an enclosed circuit board with an LED array and some screws to hold these components together. The cover sticks out slightly further to diffuse the light.The body of the unit seems to be formed from a sturdy piece of aluminum, finished in a satin white, with all the certifications for safety and efficiency marked on the back/top. Overall, this looks and feels like a decent quality light.

Easy to install and looks great too in any room for extra light

I am remodeling a bathroom that measures 7‘ x 5‘. I installed just three of the lights because they were bright enough to very nicely illuminate the entire bathroom. The additional bracket that comes with them for mounting is a genius idea. Securing the metal plate to the ceiling and then matching up the holes on the light with the screws made it super super simple to finalize the addition of the lights. There was plenty length of electrical wire to add to the existing wire. I would buy more of these and have highly recommend them to other people interested in remodeling homes.
