Love this Onigiri mold. It used to take me forever to shape these by hand and made such a mess. Zero mess and half the time! Well worth the money and a great way to make a healthy school lunch or snack for my kids

I really love these little onigiri makers - the best use is to place a little saran wrap inside the mold, place the rice inside, use the press to mold it, then pull the entire thing (saran wrap + rice) out of the mold and immediately wrap the onigiri up to store for later. the mold stays completely clean, and you have your onigiri packaged perfectly for lunch. It is also really well sized for me - whenever I hand make onigiri, I tend to make them slightly too large overall, or they turn out a little too wide, or fat, for my taste. These onigiri makers are absolutely perfectly sized for me - this product comes with both medium and baby sized onigiri molds, and the width is perfect for a nice bite. This mold makes filled onigiri so much easier to make as well - normally it really takes skill to fill an onigiri and mold it by hand. This product makes filled onigiri super quick and easy, and you can get more filling inside the onigiri using this product than you can by hand molding. The mold can also press the onigiri pretty hard if you want that, which also helps the onigiri to stay together when you're biting the onigiri, or when you're grilling the surface of the onigiri after brushing with tsuyu - overall I really recommend, and these molds are easy for kids to use as well if you're trying to teach your child to pack their own lunch, or make their own afterschool snack. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because of the price - this is an item that I would expect to find at a dollar store, or a discount store of that variety. I think this item should probably be about $2-$3, but since shipping is free for Prime members, the higher price point is understandable. The convenience of a delivered product is worth the added cost to me, but I do think it's a bit expensive for what it is. It does come with a super cute mini rice scoop spatula as well though! Overall, I love this product, and since it's impossible to easily find a product like this in U.S. stores I'm happy to pay the higher price.

These are super cute and work well for homemade onigiri! The mini is so cute and great for small snack size portions! It even comes with a little rice spoon

Gotten as a gift for my brother. He has made several perfect rice balls with this product, it is easy and fun to use. Just be be careful not to over fill the mold.

It was easy enough for me. I just have a rice cooker and have been making rice balls for a snack. It takes a little bit to push it out of the triangle once it’s formed but I think a bit of oil or plastic wrap helps. I just tap it and shake it while pushing on the back.

Great for the price

I do love the product. It's easy to use but it works best if you spray it with Pam before use so the rice doesn't stick.
