This cane is just what I was looking for. It is extremely helpful to have a cane available on demand if you are subject to trick knees or sudden bouts of back pain, but dragging a cane with you all the time can be another kind of pain. This cane is lightweight and easy to fold (and unfold), so it is easy to bring along or to keep in the car in case it is needed. It is sturdy and works well,. If you are expecting it to stand upright by itself on anything but perfectly smooth flooring, you may be a bit disappointed, but it is still a great tool to have at hand when needed.

This is a solid well built cane. It is easy to adjust the height, and the design is attractive. Unlike other reviewers who found the finger grip to be problematic, I think the finger grip design of the handle is both attractive and helpful. Even if your fingers don’t fall exactly in the finger notches, they are fairly shallow and comfortable and should not be a problem. Even when my fingers don’t fall into the finger notches, it still provides a nice grip and remains comfortable. The cane is light, and it feels secure on the ground. The bottom rotates somewhat on the ground, so that it maintains more contact with the ground, which should provide better grip with the ground. I also saw reviews saying that they did not like how the handle was offset from the top of the handle, preferring the handle to be directly above the vertical portion of the cane, but I like the offset design and find that it holds my weight nicely, and it does not feel like it is offset when it is in use. The cane feels strong and supportive. I like it.

I’m disappointed with this Vive cane because I have others from them that are awesome. This cane is supposed to be self-standing, but can only do so on a completely flat surface. Any defects in that surface and it will fall right over. If the base pad were heavier that would have helped. The handle has indents for your fingers but my hand must be too small because mine don’t fit in the spacing. I can’t get a good grip on it and just feel uncomfortable bumps. There are also decorative grooves in the top of the handle and they don’t feel good either. I hadn’t tried an adjustable base before and it makes me feel unsafe with the way it moves. It’s an unsteady motion that makes me wobble.

Assembled quite easily; and seemed sturdy. The grip is good, as is the balance. As it came it fit my 5'2" height. I don't know how well it would hold up for a tall person as the system for extending it could slip. It also lacked the 'travel case'

My husband was not thrilled with this cane...okay he is not happy with any cane but this one not a favorite...but he does use it for around the house from time to timeto me the cane has an odd weight / balance to it. it functions fine but has an odd balance of it's weight

The media could not be loaded. Video shows how this cane unfolds and adjusts. Simple to use and solid. My only negative is the handle location as I prefer to be OVER the cane not behind it.Simple cane. Light. Broad base is more stable than a narrow tip.

I was so embarrassed that I trusted this thing with an elderly family member who needed a backup cane for my car when I give her rides to the grocery store or the doctor's office. It collapsed.Only for people who are mechanically inclined and even then...

My girlfriend recently injured her foot and was given a cane to walk home with from the doctor's office. I quickly ordered this one and it arrived the next day! Amazon is so amazing!This cane is so much better than the cane she got from the doctor. She really likes the platform at the bottom.It gives her an extra push on the way up and the handle is much more comfortable. It also came fitted to the perfect size so we really didn't have to adjust it at all.She likes the black color as well.Highly recommended!!!

We purchased this for my mother who needed it after surgery. After a few uses, the cup at the bottom falls off, despite a few attempts to fix it. It’s a danger for her to use. And we’ve missed the return window, so are stuck with it. Not happy!
