My hair goes past my rear and is very thick. I hate wearing it down so this item is perfect for summer. If I wear my hair in a ponytail, it's still cumbersome so I put hair in scrunchy and put hair claw around the big bun. I have even wore it to bed and it's still on. I don't know why some people say this claw is not for thick hair. My 50 yo hair is longer and thicker than 98% of population.

For years I have been using "claw clips," which work OK, but sometimes the tines break or they become loose and I have to fix my hair. I saw an item like these bird nests and decided to see if Amazon had them because I thought it would be safer to order from Amazon rather than an unknown Facebook ad.I love these so much, I bought extras to give away! They are easy (and even kinda fun) to close, and it seems like it would hold a lot of hair. My hair is medium length but very fine and thin. I only use the nest to put my hair in a bun and it holds it well. Sometimes it does loosen (although it doesn't fall out) and I will need to reset it, but that happens far less often than it did with claw clips.To enable the nest to close, each piece of the nest is connected to the other with a pin in a hole. This allows the "accordion-like" closing process. Sometimes one of the pins will pop out of the hole and needs to be reinserted. This happens maybe once every 10 uses or so, and easy enough to fix, but it is a little frustrating. I am hoping I will learn to be a little more careful so this won't happen.

I thought these would add a little more style to my hair, which they do. However they’re not as comfortable as I thought they would be. The combs tend to rub on my scalp and the product adds more weight than what I thought it would. That’s just my opinion.

I have purchased so many hair accessories only to be disappointed. I have long, very thick but VERY fine, heavy hair. Bands hold my hair too tight and I end up with headaches. Every accessory I have purchased slips out. I found these here on Amazon one day an figured I had nothing to lose by trying them. LO & BEHOLD! Freaking amazing! They hold my hair in a pony without slipping or coming loose! Same for a bun. I can wear my hair on top of my head without the use of pins or bands, at the back or at the nape of my neck and they stay in place. Style possibilities are endless. I just ordered several more just in case any of them ever breaks or they are discontinued. BEST PURCHASE EVER!

My hair is thin. I bought the smallest one. I think it was still a bit to big. It took a few minutes to figure out how to work it; but, then it was easy. Several times a day it would start slipping & I’d have to redo it. Not sure if it was my hair o the product’s fault. It wasn’t really a big deal. It kept little flyaway hairs out of my face & kept my hair off my neck without tangling my hair.Unfortunately, after just a few weeks, it broke & the flocking on it started to peel. I’m so disappointed. Also, the packaging was crushed when it arrived.There were three in the pack. If the others hold up I’ll update; but, I’m not feeling optimistic. So disappointed.
