EC2S Clear Rock Tompack Drum Heads 10", 12", 16"

I've been playing drums for 35 years and these are my go to skins I love the sound quality and the extra layer with the oil in between For some reason this adds a nice deep tone and a real drum feel and sound you will not get super bounce out of these heads but you will get a beautiful tone and this is really an opinion that you will have to find out on Your own but once I gave these a try I fell in love with the feel and the tone. Also when I was younger I was a heavy banger I am now a much lighter touch but back then I would break pretty much any single skin head accept these because of the quality of the construction I believe.

I've been using the EC2 clear heads for about 3 yrs exclusively! Just for piece of mind, I tried many other types of Evans heads, and other brands as well, like Remo...and I kept coming back to the Evans EC2 clears. Now that Evans has the new 360 degree technology, they tune even easier and faster because they sit on the bearing edge more evenly, almost perfectly, and without any play. This allows me to put the head on the drum, then put my hoop on, finger tighten my tension rods, and then tune accordingly(about one turn each rod in a cross pattern, then about a half turn the second time around). You may prefer to tune a different way! These heads sound somewhat fat, with not too much sustain (just right), and just the right amount of attack! The sound I get is perfect for live as well a recording, and I must add I use Evans Genera Resonant heads on the bottom to get the sound I'm referring to. I recommend giving these a try and hear for yourself how great they sound, I'll bet you won't be disappointed. Even on lower end drums they will sound really good. I had a Tama Rock Star kit, used the Evans EC2 clear heads on the kit, and the kit sounded pretty darn good for a low end kit!

I am pretty lazy when it comes to tuning my drums. I don't like to spend hours looking for the perfect sound. I just like to get the heads on, do a few turns of the drum key, and then start playing. These drum heads are perfect for drummers like me. Not much effort involved to get these to sound good. Plus they are very well made and have held up through long gigs and practices. Highly recommended.

Just what I needed

I’ve been an Evan’s fan for four decades now and these are some of the best sounding heads Evan’s has made to date. Gives your toms a studio quality sound. Great response and durability. No matter what stick size you’re using these heads sound excellent!

Llegaron en excelente condición y tienen buen sonido, pero a los pocos días de uso se empezaron a desvanecer los logos, no sé si sea normal ya que nunca me había pasado con otros parches.

Great heads with the muffling effects applied, East to tune at a low range without too much sustain. Great sound when used with the EV resonant heads. Perfect with no additional dampening needed!

After reading reviews I thought I’d give these a try. Happy I did. These heads sound great and are easy to tune. Very good product.

I would recommend these tom heads to beginners with cheaper drum sets that tend to be harder to tune (as am I). I have tried several different types from different brands and these were the only ones that sounded great by just putting them on without any need for additional muffling. I need to point out that I was already using these heads before I bought it here, so I knew what I was buying. I bought another set to have it on personal stock, because I noticed that in most stores the price went up for 20€, so I made a mini investment. 😉
