Gorilla All Purpose Wood Filler, Natural Color, 6 oz Tube

I picked up the Gorilla All Purpose Wood Filler (6 oz, Natural Color) to patch up some small gouges in my outdoor deck and a few dents in indoor trim. It’s been a solid performer across both jobs. ✅ Pros: Water Resistant: Held up well on my outdoor repairs—even after a few rainy days, no swelling or cracking. Smooth Application: The filler spreads easily and doesn’t clump, making it beginner-friendly. Fast Drying: Sets quickly, which is great when you’re trying to knock out a project in one afternoon. Paintable & Sandable: Once dry, it sands down nicely and takes paint without any weird texture issues. Natural Color: The neutral tone blends well with most wood types if you’re not painting over it. ⚠️ Cons: Small Tube Size: The 6 oz tube is fine for touch-ups, but you’ll need more for larger repairs. Nozzle very hard to press Dry time- Takes atleast 24 hours to dry completely Thick Consistency: While it fills gaps well, it can be a bit stiff to squeeze out—especially in cooler temps. Nozzle Control: The tube tip could use a finer point for precision work on narrow cracks or trim. 🧾 Bottom Line: A dependable wood filler for everyday fixes. Whether you're patching up furniture, trim, or outdoor surfaces, this tube delivers solid results with minimal fuss. Just keep in mind the size if you’ve got a bigger job ahead.

Very good wood filler. I needed this for a recent project and got the Darker version, since I'm working with walnut. It's easy to use, although it does need some pressure to get it out of the tube. You can snip more off the pointy dispenser part of the tube, if needed. This has some grit to it, probably because it helps the product grab on and stay put. I'm just assuming this. Just give it the proper drying time and sand off the excess. It sands flat and you honestly can't really see it, at least on my project. I primed and painted over the who thing and you simply can't see where I put this. I can't comment on the durability, but since I pained over it, I know I will have no issues whatsoever. Overall, I like Gorilla products and have high confidence in this.

Great color for my purpose. It did work, but was a little dry. Because of that it was a little more difficult to apply. Should have been a little more paste-like.

This wood filler is easy to use and works great for small repairs. It applies smoothly, dries well, and blends nicely with natural wood surfaces. A little goes a long way, and it made fixing cracks and imperfections quick and simple. Great product for DIY projects! Great repair for baseboard

#1) The tube was only half full #2) You'd have to be a Gorilla yourself to squeeze the smallest amount of the contents from the tube (that is, after gathering all the empty plastic-tubing in one hand). #3) What emerges from the tube is a sticky combination of glue and sand (like from the beach sand) that dries on the putty-knife or finger and falls in tiny clumps to the floor as you are trying to put it into place - not at all the thick smooth paste I was expecting - you know, like every other wood-filler I've ever used. Maybe I received a "bad" tube except for the fact that AI found too many customers who were also disappointed with this product. It does not belong in a tube.

It take a lot of effort (and is slow) to squeeze larger quantities out. It takes effort to get filler fully into cracks/holes (with a putty knife, to press further into the void). When applying on a vertical surface, it tends to fall to the ground unless pressing with a putting knife before pulling tube back from work. Once the filler is properly in the void, it seems to be OK. I had cracks on an outdoor wooden post as wide as ~3/8", and as deep as ~5/8", and semi long. After considerable effort, I switched to using SYSTEM THREE Sculpwood Paste, which was very easy to apply and knife into the cracks, and then smooth with the knife. This filler seems well suited for small holes (nail holes, pilot drill holes) and cracks on wood projects/furniture, etc., and it will come in handy for those needs. After removing the cap, the application end is sealed and the instructions don't state how to get an opening going. I'm well familiar with certain caps the puncture such seals, and with cutting the end with a utility knife (or drilling), but it would help to include instructions.

This stuff worked great. I had an old trundle bed where there screw holes were all worn out and had expanded over the years. This thing hasn’t been put together in over 20 years. I tried bigger screws/bolts and that didn’t work either. I filled in the screw holes with this gorilla wood filler and let it dry for like a day and night. Just put the trundle bed together with ease. It was like brand new wood. It pulled the bed frame in as I was ratcheting the bolts. Everything is all tight now. (Except for one I’m guessing I didn’t put enough in that hole so I’ll just get a bigger bolt for that one) it should be good as new. Either way this stuff far exceeded my expectations. It does match the color of the bed too even though it’s covered by the frame where I used it. It’s a little tough to squeeze out of the tube. But not a problem. Very happy with this product.
