Does the over all height include the stakes at the bottom?

The measurement of the trellis from ground level to top of trellis is 68 inches. My assumption is that the 78 inches advertised includes the stakes. Hope this helps!

I don't remember if it had stakes. I just stuck it in the ground. It's been in the same place for the last year.

It has been years, since I bought this, and no longer have access to it, but I would bet money that 78 inches includes the stakes. One point. It is NOT made of cast iron, so it is fairly flexible. It will do best with some support at the top if the vegetation is heavy.
