Amazing book
This book is so good that I almost wonder if Jonathan kept the price low because he does not want a lot of people to read this, I say that BECAUSE there is so much INCREDIBLE information here, if I was a poker writer I would be scared to release the information in this book, because this book IS THAT GOOD. Jonathan has already made over 7 million playing and I believe he is mostly focusing on poker coaching now, so that must be why this book has so much. ALL of his books are amazing, I own 4 of them including Crushing Small Stakes Cash Games. I have several favorite poker commentators and writers and Jonathan little is certainly high on the list. I got a USCF Expert rating at chess, and I am new to poker, though I know good theory when I see it, also got a background in theoretical physics, so take that in mind when I recommend these books, though in all honestly I will be happy if you do not read these books because they will only make you a stronger poker player and that will make it harder to win money from you. Bottom line is buy this book and the price is a steal for what is in it.

Learning from a Poker Pro
I have read and appreciate Jonathan's books "Secrets of Professional Tournament Poker, Volume 1-3" and was looking forward to his new book in which he analyzes 54 poker hands, which he played during the WSOP 2014 Main Event. I truly believe I can become a better poker player by gaining insights into the thought process of a professional poker player and this is exactly what Jonathan offers in his new book. For each hand he defines his position, his stack size, blind sizes, and what he knows about the other players. For each phase (pre-flop, flop, turn, river) he explains his thought process and why he is doing what he is doing - checking, betting, raising or folding. Jonathan has no problem to write about the hands he didn't play optimally and what he would do differently.I like a lot that he offers 4 options to chose from for each phase in each hand and while I was reading I always thought what I would do before I compared it with Jonathan's action. It's amazing how much I learned by doing that and I am really surprised how often I would have done the opposite from Jonathan. Well, that explains why he is a professional and I am an amateur. The great thing is that Jonathan explains his motivation for each move and that helped me to become aware of several non-optimal decisions I make and to improve my poker game. After finishing this book I wished that Jonathan would have made it even deeper into the main event (even to the final table) because I wanted to see many more hands.I recommend this book to everyone who wants to learn from a poker pro and become a better poker player.

A must read for any tournament poker player.
Jonathan is an amazing poker instructor and is able to explain his concepts in a clear and concise way that allows you to be "in his head" while the poker hand is going on and to think like a professional poker player. His deep stack strategy presented here is right on the money for tournaments such as the WSOP Main Event and will teach you how to survive in such a grueling field of players. Anyone who plays poker seriously knows that to win the WSOP Main Event you not only must be a good poker player, but you must run well for over a week in order to survive such a massive field of players and to just cash in this event is quite an accomplishment. The thing that's great about all of Jonathan's books is that you don't only read them once. In order to get everything out of them, you need to keep rereading them in order to reinforce the concepts and strategies that are needed to survive in poker tournaments. His quiz format is great because it allows you to make your own choices and compare yours to his. Furthermore, if he played a hand incorrectly he will admit it and tell you why! How many poker books will do that? I can't recommend this book highly enough and be sure to check out his other Tournament books if you want to make money playing poker.

A must for tournament players
This is a well written summary of 54 hands played by Jonathan Little in the 2014 WSOP main event. The main event, although not the "hardest" in poker, is the dream of every serious poker player and still is on the radar of most pros due to its excellent structure and variety of play levels.Jon walks the reader through each hand in a quiz style, giving us valuable insights to his thought processes in the event. For me, having read his other tournament books and putting them into practice, I thought I would play most hands more or less the way he did. The eyebrow raising hands were definitely those that I have learned something new from and they made it worth the price of the book. This is not a book for the novice player - you should have at least a fundamental understanding of the importance of position, stack to pot ratios, bet sizing considerations, opponent profiles and tournament stages to derive max value. All of these and more, you will get from Jonathan's other books.

Excellent book and recap!
As all top poker players will tell you, in poker you "play the player". The WSOP Main Event is filled with players ranging from "world class" to "your average player". The beauty of this book is that Jonathan Little explains his thought process based on his opponent's style.Similar to chess, you always need to think a few moves ahead before you make a move. Jonathan shows aspiring poker players what his thought process is on all future streets before he makes a move on any given street. Also the book is well laid out in chronological order so you get to experience his journey first hand. He lists hands that he played well, as well as hands where he thought he misplayed. I thought the best part of the book was the hand examples where he totally missed the flop. Most poker books deals only with how to extract values when you make top pair or better. In this book, Jonathan goes through how he proceeds with these "missed flops" based on his opponent's perceived range and playing style.Overall, an EXCELLENT book well worth reading!

Nice format, very eay to read and understand the decisions made. You can learn a lot about how a professional thinks from this book. I like having the quiz format as well so that you can test how well you would do facing those hands.

Improved version Soptp 3
Great content as usual from my favorite coach.I think the new layout is a definite improvement to Secrets of professinal tournament poker since it is an much easier read than before.Too bad it is only the story of a deeprun. I am really looking forward to the first book from him which documents the whole way from the beginning to the win of a major live tournament.
