For safety's sake, Don't Refill 1 pound disposable cans.
Fast shipping, very well made, nice machining, smooth surfaces, good gasket. Correct threads for screwing onto a 1 pound propane can. I tried refilling 1 pound propane cans. Propane cans have two Schrader tire core style valves, one for over-pressure relief [fire safety] the other to allow propane flow from can to appliance, torch, lantern, etc. Of 12 cans, after partially filling and checking for leaks only 4 passed the initial leak test. These four were filled liquid 'full' to the bottom of the relief [80%]. Of these 4, two immediately started leaking from the top center valve. I screwed a torch on top of both to save propane. The other two did not leak but not trusting the integrity of the valves after fulfilling, I put these in the cell ventilated 3-wall wood shed. 45 days after refilling I took one of the torches from the cold garage into the warm house to do some soldering. After the can warmed up the relief began leaking filling the room with a strong propane odor. I took that can outside and let it leak until empty. If you want this fitting to refill 1 pound propane cans, it will do this, HOWEVER, from my experience refilling is not worth the effort AND it can be dangerous when refilled cans began leaking in an enclosed space and vapors ignite and explode. For safety's sake, Don't Refill 1 pound disposable cans.

rothenberger adaptors
useful adaptor, but be aware the 1/4 bsp thread is tapered, i think it is more tapered than a uk bsp tapered. so if fitting to a 1/4 bsp parallel fitting it will not go in far, make sure the fitting has a thick body or you can split it, stainless steel will be stronger, and use thread lock with loctite 55 ptfe string(one wrap per thread dont overlap wound in direction of thread so it doesnt unravel)i,m going to run a parallel 1/4 bsp die down it to allow more insertion depth then i fit a needle valve to it with push fit quick connectors, (high pressure type)it can then be used for filling bottle or as outlet to a regulator for camping fire etc. fast delivery. bought several adaptors all came together.

Not imported
I was pleasantly surprised that this part was so well made. Although it says imported in the listing the part I received was made in the USA. I saw that a couple of years ago there were problems with the fuel passage being clogged or not drilled but mine is drilled and not clogged at all. I am very happy with the quality and value.

WELL MADE
WELL MADE ITEM IF YOU NEED ONE. ACTUALLY I FORGOT WHY I BOUGHT IT FOR. IT MAY BE HANDY IN FUTURE AS SPARE PART. JUST WONDER WHERE CAN I BUY 1/4" PIPE THREAD CUP FOR IT. MY PROPANE DISTR. TREE IS LEAKING SO IT WOULD BE HANDY TO SEAL LEAKING OUTLET.
