Short and simple, they work well. Knocked a couple at a tree and got near it and drained my sinuses, watery eyes and very heavy breathing.

Yes I tested it. It is spicy and the projectile will sting you just as much as the pepper in your eyes. However I have been hit with other pepper based products that have had a longer lasting effect

Deceptive description?Advertised as :“Lancer Tactical Defense Ball Bulk 0.43 Cal for Self Defense Includes Pepper Projectile, Rubber Ball, and Cartridges, 4 Pack, Pack of 8 Each.”Was not a “4 pack” of pepper projectiles.One tube of pepper balls(8), one pack rubber balls(8), two CO2 cartridges.Considering the typical cost of CO2 cartridges—and of .43 cal rubber balls—this seems quite overpriced.Given the price, it seems reasonable to assume one would receive 4 packs of projectiles, even if two of the packs are just rubber.

Much better than I expected!
OMG! These balls are very effective. I thought they wouldn't be that powerful, so I decided not to purchase anymore. That is until I discharged one during a practice set to see if they work. To my surprise, from 20ft away. I got just a wiff of it and couldn't stop coughing. These are very good

Wrong size cartridges
Pepper balls and rubber balls are great, but the cartriges are half sized and won't fit in my gun.
