Cianciullo Wholewheat Freselle

Friselle con pomodoro has always been an essential part of my summers. Growing up in Italy, we enjoyed these almost every day, paired with fresh tomatoes from our garden and olive oil from our orchard. The expiration date is 2025, so they’re relatively fresh, as friselle typically last about a year. Yes, they are incredibly hard, as they should be. The ingredients are simple and traditional, just like authentic Italian bread: flour, salt, and yeast—no oil. The very low water content is what allows them to stay fresh for months without preservatives.To enjoy them properly, dice whole tomatoes on top, be generous with olive oil, and let the juices soak in for a few minutes to soften them up before eating—this way, you won’t risk breaking a tooth ( although my son enjoys them as is) ! If they’re still too tough, a light sprinkle of water will do the trick.I’m particularly impressed with the packaging. Before purchasing, I noticed several one-star reviews complaining about the friselle arriving broken. It seems they’ve addressed this issue because mine arrived perfectly intact and well-packed!

We didn’t care for these. Unbelievably hard. Put hot tomato sauce on some. Put vinegar and oil on some.Couldn’t make them soft, enjoyable to eat.Read reviews. Took a chance. Disappointed. Very disappointed. Certainly wouldn’t recommend.

This product dam hard to find. It’s exactly what I believe it would be and this real deal. Great texture taste n flavor. This cracker but what it is suppose to be and it’s spot on. Keep up the good quality. Only improvement is sell in large package size.

It looks like the package was dropped and stepped on.

They were completely crushed. Never again.
