Exploring the Cotswolds...
This OS Explorer two-sided map covers a large chunk of England's Cotswolds, including the Cotswolds Hills, Stow-on-the Wold, and a variety of other small places with charming names. The scale is a user-friendly 1:25,000, and the color graphics are easy to read. This map includes a download for your mobile. There are a variety of walking paths in the area. As another reviewer has noted, having a good map will keep the enterprising traveler on time and on target. It is a paper map, and will need some protection from weathers. Well recommended.

Bring a map!
Everyone always says "bring a map!" But seriously, even when all the websites tell you that all your trails are properly marked, BRING YOUR MAP! I would have been lost forever in the Cotswolds without this! (Though, a rather nice place to be lost for eternity). ;)Only con is waterproof would have been nice, but luckily rain was never an issue.

OS Explorer OL45 The Cotswolds (Published 2015)
If you've used the OS Explorer range before, you are aware of how good they are. They now include mobile download, every time you buy a brand new OS Explorer or OS Landranger map, they give you access to the digital version, by removing the silver scratch off area to reveal a code. The scale is good at 2.5" to 1 mile (4cm to 1 km) at 1:25,000 scale with plenty of information to boot, whereas the OS Landranger offers 2cm to 1 km at 1:50,000 scale.

Old but great
Phones are ok but I'm old fashioned and like to see it printed and in front of me and more detailed than a phone and you can take it any where and it will always be there when you want it, not having to wait for a signal.

Hard to use
This is an indispensable aid to finding your way around but we found the double-sided format to be very difficult to use. I understand that the alternative is to have 2 separate maps so you do get 2 for the price of one. It would be better if it could be made more manageable. It is certainly a struggle in the wind and rain!
