Excellent fun
I enjoy the intrigue and adventure and secrecy of this story. Reason and April and O’Hare and Hagenbach are great characters. So is Peter Branson. Reread, but worth it. The last go around it was audible book.

The Writer Who Keeps on Giving, Over and Over and Over
This was my third replacement of this book...I still re-read his 1950-1980 works at least once a year. I know, but you can hardly go wrong with Maclean's novels. They offer humor, a great adventure, good writing AND you can still sleep at night.

Great Books from my childhood - they hold up as an adult.
I first read Alistair Maclean about 45 years ago. His books are some of the best memories of my childhood reading experience. A flood destroyed all my copies of his works so now I'm replacing them on my Kindle.This book, the Gun's of Navarone, Force 10 From Navarone, and Circus were my favorites as I recall.

Good read, entertaining
Definitely not great literature, but entertaining, if not highly believable. The hero is just to good to be true, even though you wish it were.Enjoyed the ride.

Good way to pass a rainy weekend
Not his best work as it is a bit more over the top then even I can accept easily. Hostage situation with politicos and the bridge as the victims. Brains over both evil brains and brawn. Good for an afternoon' read. Much prefer Ice Station Zebra....

The President's Dilemma
Alistair has done it again. He draws out all the characters and plot and you are surprised at the ending. A good insight to the political shenanigans that are evident even today.

The Golden Gate by Alistair MacLean
One of my favourite writers. I recommend this Alistair MacLean novel to lovers of thriller novels. Item safely and securely delivered within a couple of days of ordering. Excellent service.

Far Fetched
A somewhat limited plot with too many undeveloped characters. Not one of the authors best.. Some of the action scenes were very far fetched.

I like Alistair Maclean and although I liked it
I like Alistair Maclean and although I liked it, I found it a bit involved and could not wait for it to finish. Also I like my villains to be villains.
