Now we're talking
I have quite a few reviews on here for different health supplements and you will find one very common thing between the reviews. I detest artificial sweeteners. I've went into long running discussions in the forum section here and will give a very brief explanation. I was a very healthy, young (20s), college football player in top condition. Then one day, I got out of bed and fell. My body felt like something had taken it over. My mom, who I lived with at the time, rushed me to the hospital. After a couple dozen tests with no results showing what had caused my body to all but shutdown, I received the diagnosis of, "You have a phenomenon". Yep, a phenomenon, despite my sick state, I still had my sense of humor and said, "So I should expect an alien to crawl out of my belly?" After much more testing, I finally, in a roundabout way, had a doctor tell me, "I'm not saying it's the artificial sugar you're eating, but how about you stop eating it and see if it helps you?" And sure enough, I started feeling my feet and lower legs again and was fine.Jump to these days, that was almost 20 years ago. I have refused to use any supplement with artificial sweeteners. People will debate the scientific theory of the problem I had, but I don't care about theories, I know what I went through and it was worse than the 12 broken bones I endured while playing football. I had been very loyal to Optimum Nutrition. I still think their Oats and Whey protein was made for me. I love oatmeal and it's naturally sweetened. My wife uses their Any Whey, which is also naturally sweetened. I had been using their Casein. Only one flavor of their Casein was naturally flavored, but now it seems they've put Stevia in it. I've discussed this in other reviews. I know what every report of Stevia says, but I refuse to use it. Let that at least show how much pain I went through with my "phenomenon" ordeal.Somehow, I stumbled across this Muscle Feast Casein. I wasn't turned off by the price at all. I'm willing to pay more for quality supplements, and keep in mind, the 4 lb tub has 82 servings. I've been using Casein for over 15 years as a nighttime protein shake before bed. I'll get the bad news out of the way. It doesn't really have any taste. I've had this same experience with Any Whey, I think if anything, it has the slightest, most subtle vanilla taste. I like it. I especially like it with a banana thrown in and blended. It's very good. I will admit, I have always liked the taste of Casein protein better than Whey. I think it's because I use both with water. The amino acid profile on this protein is very good. Good enough that I don't need to add anything to it. I usually am adding a teaspoon of this, teaspoon of that, especially Glutamine, this has nearly 4 grams per serving. My wife mixed this with some cocoa powder and said it was really good. I don't want to get that spoiled. It's easily mixed as well. Most Casein protein requires me to use a small blender, but I prefer my Blender Bottles and it works just fine in it. I really can't see how anyone would say this tastes bad. It really is close to flavorless. I love the fact that it's low-calorie too. We're getting into the best of both worlds. Low calorie, but not because it has fake sugar, instead, because it's not sweetened or flavored. I appreciate it Muscle Feast. I'm going to try their Whey too, it will have a hard time replacing my Oats and Whey, but who knows, if it's as good as this Casein, it just might become my new Whey.

Great Tasting Casein!
I'm really enjoying the chocolate casein! It mixes very well. Tastes great! And, most importantly, has a very short ingredient list without a bunch of chemical sweeteners! Of course if you're a purist, they have an unflavored option as well, but I guess I'm still a little spoiled and like my "treat" after dinner. Keeps me away from desserts.Texture doesn't seem to be as thick or as grainy as other casein powders I've tried (it's still grainier than a whey powder but that goes with the territory). It also doesn't seem to be as prone to getting thick as other products, so if shakes (not pudding) are your thing, you can achieve drink-ability without too much liquid (8ish ounces).TIP: Regarding the resealable bag: This powder is very, very fine (which probably correlates to the lesser grainy texture) so when it is sealed at the factory it embeds in the teeth on the resealable zipper. All you have to do after opening for the first time is flick the outside of the bag along the zippers to knock the powder out and it will seal right up!Good luck and enjoy a supplement that doesn't include a bunch of chemicals. My only complaint about this product is the meat-head name. When it's sitting on the counter visitors might think this 40 something is trying a little too hard! Haha

Try it out it is a great product
Can't give an honest review since I've only just begun using this supplement. So for now 4/5 based on taste, texture, and cost. I'd say I'm pretty tolerant of sand-textured supplements I've used in the past but rest easy friends, this is more of a light grain-y powder versus a sandy creatine product I used last year with good/moderate gains. For this supplement I chose unflavored and I'll admit sometimes I mix with vanilla almond milk or sometimes I'll mix it with chocolate whey protein for a tasty shake. I will update leisurely in 6 weeks then maybe a 2 week break then another 6 weeks recording weight and any visual gains I may notice.*This is not in any way accurate and other persons' results may differ from mine, but whatever*I'm 5"10 and roughly 140-145 when I began this supplement, will check back in a few weeks :)Update! 3/22/2015 - Ok so I actually was in the process of moving a few weeks back and missed three days in a row of taking this supplement as well as working out, still got some cardio in though, but it still kind of threw off my routine because of work and lack of focus at the time but as of now I am back on track. When I started I was only drinking about one "milkshake" at the end of each day to test this product and make sure my stomach and body would agree with it. AND it did. As I mentioned I weighed in at about 142 lbs exactly the day I started. I eat pretty lean mostly just turkey, salmon, lean chicken, or fruits and vegetables so I assumed I wouldn't gain much weight or at least look bulky taking this product, although I have gained some weight I'm at about 145-147 lbs again haven't really had enough time to see big gains. The past two weeks everyday I have drank the shakes worked out different muscle groups and especially incorporated compound movements into my workouts. (squats, deadlifts) It seems at least a little I have a slightly wider chest, slightly wider back, but I have noticed change in shoulder/neck area and arms. Would recommend for sure at this point and the 4lbs will hold most people over until they can spend another $60.00. I would like to mention as I have read in other comments this stuff does dry up your sinus' some but not bad it just makes you feel like you have no congestion or pressure at all. That was a plus for me. If you smoke you may feel different at least when i used to smoke my sinus' always would act up. I will provide another up date in a another few weeks or so. :)

Vanilla is good, chocolate is not
I enjoyed the vanilla flavor despite it being very dust-like and a bit difficult to integrate using a blender. It tasted a bit grainy but the taste was great. The chocolate, however, was a different story. It was very different in consistency (much denser) and tasted almost like nothing. The taste was hardly detectable; nothing like the flavorful vanilla. I was quite disappointed since I purchased the larger bag.
