Unreliable
The scale jumps around which makes it essentially useless. Piece of garbage and being returned because of it.

Poor quality. Annoying features
Bought because it looks good and matches my coffee set. I dislike that it has a rechargeable battery that is non removable. Battery life doesn’t seem great. I’d rather have something that runs off AA’s.The buttons are also awful. They are little touch activated buttons but half the time don’t work on the first or even fifth attempt to presss them. Which makes the scale reading jumpy and weird. Will be replacing with something more functional

Keeping Up with a Coffee Geek
Although I consider myself the queen of caffeine, my brother is a true culinary geek. After a long conversation about the joys of measuring, I had to keep up and get a coffee scale. He was right. When I’m not pressed for time so that I can devote myself to the ritual, it’s been a lot of fun using this and copying his exact coffee recipes.I feel like a scientist now!

A great gift for the coffee head in your life.
TL;DR SUMMARYSleek, functional, can be finicky.—————WHAT I LIKED: Sleek appearance, all the necessary features, rechargeable, easy to clean, small countertop footprint.WHAT I DIDN’T LIKE: Touch sensors can be finicky, especially if your fingertips or the surface are damp. Combined with the quick auto shut-off feature, this can lead to some frustration.WHO MIGHT WANT THIS: Anyone looking for a stylish yet functional scale to add to their coffee setup.—————MY EXPERIENCE: The scale and charging cord were neatly packed and able to be quickly set up. Charging took a few hours, but the scale beeps when ready to use--there is also a visual indicator. Powering the scale on and off requires an extended press, about 1-2 seconds. After that, initiating the timer or tare only requires a slight press. The scale has an auto shut-off that lasts longer when the timer is engaged.CONCERNS / CALL-OUTS / NICE-TO-HAVES: It would be nice if the auto shut-off lasted a little longer, but other than that, this scale is accurate and looks nice on a countertop. Also worth mentioning, the scale comes with a USB A power cord but no power adapter.—————WHAT CAME IN THE BOX:(1) Digital Scale(1) USB A Power Cord(1) User Manual

4 decimal digits from this piece of plastic? This is a joke
UPDATE: I realize that I will never get comfortable with the uneven response of the touch controls, but so long as I don't need to use the TARE function I'm fine. One positive for which is deserves credit: As I type this it's almost mid-June and I haven't charged it since the end of Jan. Granted, I usually use it once a day just to weigh coffee beans, which doesn't take long, but I do have to give it credit for not needing frequent charging.I realize that every one Vine reviewer thinks that this is the greatest thing since sliced bread (nothing like upbeat reviews to keep your Vine membership...) but I do not and will be very specific why.1) This is a cheap piece of plastic, and yet it shows 4 decimal digits, so if you think you're trying to get 2 ounces of something, you will find that it thinks you have, perhaps 2.1003 ounces. First, 4 decimal digits is laughably unneeded for the purpose this thing is built for. More importantly, I work in a research university and we have devices in our lab that can measure that delicately, and they are huge and heavy and require calibration, etc. Try this with this thing: Weigh something, pick it up and put it back down, and try that a few times, moving the thing you're weighing just a tiny bit each time (say 1/4 inch) and notice that the number keeps changing. Just because something shows a lot of digits does NOT mean that it's actually differentiating with that level of accuracy.2) For $40, this should not feel like a cheap piece of junk and it does. I've been using electronic scales to measure coffee for 20 years, and they have cost less, been much sturdier (the current one has been working for at least 10 years) and while a few have been crap, they have been fine, though I don't require that my coffee be measured beyond one decimal point.3) This has a USB-C recharge port, which is good. However, unlike almost all other devices I have, I can use a more powerful charging unit and it works fine, since the charging power source only provides the power it's asked to pull. And I'm not talking about things that charge laptops, I'm talking about the device I use to charge running watches and things like that. So note that while the cable will work with other chargers (in case you have one of those units with multiple charging ports), it can't be one with too much power. Also, if I've read the instructions right, this thing tells you when it can't work without charging, but not before, so always have something else handy or charge it often.I will say that this is small and lightweight enough that it's easy to tuck away, should you want to do that, and it's not a bad idea because it just doesn't seem well made enough to be safe in a kitchen.

helps make perfect drip coffee
I sometimes make pour over drip coffee at home. I have never use the scale until now. The scale actually makes pour over coffee a lot easier to make. The scale is very easy to use. It’s also very accurate with +\-0.2 variance. The screen is easy to read. Overall, I really like the scale because it is small and accurate and it helps me make better pour over drip coffee.
