Chicken head feathers
One of my chicken is plucking one of head feathers. First day I saw it, it was a bold spot on her head. I was shocked. I found this product during my research. It smells good and in dark purple color. The hardest part is catch my chicken and make it not to move when I apply this lotion. It does stain your cloths and fingers. I will recommend to wear the clothes you don't mind get stain on. Wash your hands right after applying it with warm water and soap to remove the stain on your hands. It helps my bullying chicken stop pecking on the same spots. It allows the bare spots grow feathers back. See the pictures, a little feathers grow back after few days. It does not solve the issue of bullying chicken. We just need to extend the chicken run for them to have more spaces.

Works
Works wonders for pecking birds. We have a small female that was having her tail feathers and neck pecked. This stopped it. We applied it and it works for almost 4 days. Great product for keeping the pecking dealt with.

Spilled firming shipping. Salvaged product not effective.
Product spilled in transit. I was able to salvage some that hadn’t leaked out of box. Unfortunately, it didn’t help my hen who is having her feathers picked by others. I used it daily for a little over a week but it didn’t slow down the picking.

A Game Changer for My Hen
When my hen was attacked, I for sure did not think she would survive. I quickly looked on Amazon and at local farm & animal stores for something to help. I found this product which was very fairly priced and arrived the following day. My hen had all her back feathers removed and her hind end was not looking good at all!! I of course had her inside attending to her hoping for the best. When the product arrived, I was a bit apprehensive.... I'd never done anything like this before. I held my breath, applied the product and to my instant delight, it did not upset her at all! It stunk some but who really cares? It was easy to apply and it stayed on her behind on its own for quite some time. When it finally fell/wore off, I simply reapplied. I'd say from d-day to back with the flock was about 7 weeks, I would say I applied the product three times. She is doing wonderfully and within day of being back with the flock she was laying eggs again. I truly don't think I could have saved her on my own without this product! I love my hens and am so grateful she recovered fully!

Lady protection
I have a Polish hen in with a few other breeds, and as much as I hate to say it.... I have a few bullies in my flock. They peck the head of my polish, so I bought this stuff to try and curb the behavior! I put it on her head every few days and it helps keep them away! You definitely have to reapply frequently, so make sure to buy the three pack so you’re not constantly having to put in an order. Just don’t get it on your fingers because it’s stiiiiiinky!

Effective repellant for feather picking.
Used it for my pullets. It did work as advertised. Some pullets pecked but only once. They sure did not like the taste of it. Very effective repellant.

DOES NOT WORK AS CLAIMED!!
I ordered this product to help my Polish roosters who have been being plucked. The reviews I read led me to believe the product works, but I am here to inform you it does not. I followed the directions to a T as well as separated the birds, but my poor roosters have gotten no relief. I do not recommend this product at all!
