Seiko Monster Automatic Black Dial Stainless Steel Mens Watch SRP313K2

Seiko watches represent quality and value and the Seiko SRP313K2 does not disappoint. This model is redesigned and has a few very nice upgrades over the old model. The sawtooth dial with the removal of the numbers makes the dial much cleaner and gives the watch a much more cohesive design than before. This model has the new Seiko 4r36 movement which hacks and hand winds unlike the 7s36 before it. Seems more accurate by most accounts and I have not had mine long enough to tell. The crown is also more refined but still retains its tool look. Add to that the best solid steel link bracelet Seiko puts on any of its low end dive watches and you have a winning combo. At the current price hovering just over $200 for the bracelet model and just under $200 for the strap model I highly recommend the bracelet model. The lume or nighttime visibility is superb and long lasting. If you are a lume nut like me this is your watch!!If you are not familiar with the fit and finish of Seiko watches then you are sure to be very happy with this model. The new monster seems better made than the previous model. In fact, I am done buying other expensive watches as there is really nothing else you could need in a dive watch than what the Monster offers. The other thing I really like about this watch is it does not borrow design elements or pretend to be something else. It is a unique watch with a lot of character.One last note is I see a lot of people complain about the K model over the J model and unless you just like paying more for words there is no difference between the two. Even Seiko will admit that the two models are made with the exact same parts and factory. The only difference is the distribution route and the final market country the watch is sold in thus the need for different labeling. All low end Seiko watches that are not made for the Japanese domestic market are made in Malaysia with Japanese parts. So unless you are buying a Seiko Marine Master directly imported from Japan you are not getting a watch made in Japan. Of course none of this matters because the quality is the same no matter where they are made. So if you get a K model enjoy it!! A final note, even the JDM models have their stainless steel cases made in China then finished in Japan. I say all of this to just put these watches in perspective. The quality you get at the low end from Seiko is usually just as good as the high end. Now the finish and parts will vary greatly with price but you simply will not find another brand in my experience that offers such value through out its line of watches.

Best automatic watch for USD 200. The quality is great! It is MUCH beautiful than the photos. It keeps great time, +3 sec/day. It comes witha pin and colar bracelet, it's harder to adjust (it isn't too hard, you can see a online tutorial) but its higher quality.The lume is great too.

Great watch. Lume is said to be legendary. Of the times I needed to use it, its been amazing. Very comfortable and feels well made. Doesn't seem fragile. Great for a weekend watch or a beater. Only problem I have with it is that the face is a bit too busy which makes it a bit more difficult to read the time, but overall great bang for your buck. Did I mention it's automatic?2 month update:I've come to like the vampire monster so much that its now my daily watch. Its more comfortable than my Tissot and gets more wear! I'm clumsy sometimes so I'll bang my hand into the wall or something but the watch still ticks well. The face and design really grow on you due to its uniqueness.

Came in a torn box, looks much better in pictures than in real life IMHO. ate being on a black day/date wheel doesn't provide enough contrast to be easily visible. I also own the 1st generation in Orange and on white date wheels there is no issue reading it. black on black it gets lost. I have been trying to sell it since I bought it....At a loss.

Do not buy from those 3rd-party sellers! Most likely you will be receiving a fake watch! And that was what happened to me - I have a US warranty SRP311 already, but thought I prefer a silver one. Then I ordered another SRP313K2 from "E Watch Stock" because Amazon does not sell it. Upon receiving the watch, I immediately noticed the difference - it does not say "Made in Japan" nor "Movement Japan", and the build quality is low. Also the manual/box are obviously different from those of my SRP311 - I can easily tell the differences.The best you could do is to return it. But those who do not own a Seiko watch and thus do not know what to expect, will most likely be "happy" with the fake item that they receive.

This is my first automatic diver and I am not disappointed! The lume is outstanding and lasts for most if not all of the night. It is quite heavy, but I see that as a plus. Finishing is great overall and the bracelet is solid and uses a pin and collar system that is somewhat difficult to adjust.However, the movement has been outstanding after a month of use losing about -6 seconds per day, but if left dial up overnight the time is within 1 second of my atomic citizen! Outstanding!

I bought Seiko SRP307 "Black Monster" with 24 jewel 4R36 mechanical automatic movement. The "Black Monster" is a stainless steel dive watch advertised as (ISO-rated) waterproof to 200 meters. Its markers rest under a domed mineral crystal "Hardlex" on a black watch face and are coated with "LumiBrite". This allows markers and hands to glow for at least 6 hours after exposure to light. That's impressive.This watch is called everywhere "Monster" because it looks like one. It has an unique design - and I like it very much. I see no other mechanical watch that can match, for this price, with my "Monster". It is beautiful, robust, quality built, precise (built and timekeeping). It is an outstanding watch,
