AcuRite 00256M Portable Anemometer with Inspection Light

Fun and useful if you are at all curious about things like the exact elevation of your 2nd story bedroom or basement media room! Wind speed when you are riding your bike or running on the beach! It's plastic so not likely to live a long life but we shall have fun while until it's demise!

Very good device! For the money it can't be beat. Having wind speed, temp, humidity, elevation as a all in one. It also shows averages, peak for wind, and low/high for temps, + humidity. The fan moves very easily and is very sensitive. Well worth the money

This thing works pretty good especially considering the price tag. I don't have any other wind readers/anemometers to compare accuracy with. However, I did use it for shooting at a little over 500 yds in pretty high winds. The readings it gave me when entered into my ballistic app put me on target almost immediately. So for my purposes it seems to do the trick. Little finicky and im sure this could not handle real field abuse, but if you take care of it I am sure it will do the job.

Returned as defective. Readings on the functions I needed/wanted most were all over the place. One thing in particular I found annoying was that the "elevation" mode had to be calibrated at power up with a known elevation. (If I read the instructions correctly) Isn't that why you buy such a device, so you can determine what the current parameters are? Anyway, I replaced it with another device which was a bit more costly and I have yet to receive. It's a great price point, nice handy size and laid out reasonably well, but mine just didn't work. Las aplicaciones en ocaciones no dan la lectura exacta del sitio donde pretendes volar, y este anemometro es una herramienta de medición bastante útil, que puedes transportar al sitio donde pretendas iniciar un vuelo. Como un buen respaldo de consulta del viento lo recomiendo.

Handy for getting weather data for entomology and astronomy. I've never had any issues with batteries, and I've used it well below zero degrees Celsius.

Me encanto! lo recibí ante de la fecha prevista...al principio me tome un poco de tiempo al equilibrar la altitud pero ya después no tuve problema, en cuanto a la temperatura, la humedad, y la velocidad del viento son exactas.
