Great product!! Does everything it says
This paint is amazing ! I was a little nervous about the claims of no priming or sanding but after using on some furniture pieces I was amazed with the outcome ! I used a graco airless sprayer no need to thin out the paint before spraying, this product is on the pricey side but well worth the investment .

Easy to use w/ great results!
I have an antique wrought iron bed and an old wood bedside table from our families that I wanted to refinish and use. Wanting them to match, I had a hard time finding a paint that would cover metal as well as wood. My mom saw someone recommend Beyond Paint on TV and suggested I try it. I didn't know how rolling paint on a metal bed with thin spindles would work, but I followed the manufacturer's directions and am thrilled with the results. As instructed, I just washed the bedframe with "Simple Green" degreaser and let it dry. I painted one thin coat and then another coat the next day. Easy peasy! I used a small chip brush first to fill in the intricate designs and then rolled the rest. Quick and easy! No sanding or removal of other paint. The paint claims to be self leveling. If you look very closely, I can see where the prior paint had chipped underneath. The texture of the dried paint camouflages this. You really have to be looking for flaws to notice any. I wonder if I should have done thicker coats of paint to get a better self leveling effect. Nonetheless, I am still extremely pleased with the coverage and results. The paint looked clumpy and unusable when I opened the can, but be advised, this apparently is normal. It took a lot of stirring, but it did eventually smooth out beautifully. Stirring the paint was the hardest part of the job! I wasn't sure how much paint I needed or how many pieces I might decide to eventually paint, so I bought a gallon. I barely made a dent in the bucket. I could have easily bought the smaller jar and had plenty for just the bed--even doing thicker coats. As to the table I mentioned, I have not tried the paint on it yet. My only disappointment with this paint is it claimed to cover anything without sanding. Upon further research, I discovered it may not cover old shellac. The table has cracked shellac that now has to be stripped. I thought I would be able to clean the table with the degreaser and just paint. Projects are never as easy as you hope! So, you may be able to go with a cheaper paint if you need to strip your piece anyway. I chose the Nantucket color. It is a blue with a green undertone. It looked like a Sage green to me in the can, but looked more blue as it dried. It is a nice coastal blue. Despite the fact I still have to strip my table, I would buy again and recommend Beyond Paint. It is a quality product that doesn't need the waxing and constant maintenance that milk and chalk paints require.

I had great hopes for this product but would not recommend
We were doing a total remodel of a small bathroom and had a large (4 doored) oak linen closet and oak medicine cabinet we decided to paint white. When searching for the best way to paint finished oak cabinets to a durable white finish, I came across this product and the very positive reviews. It actually sounded too good to be true, and alas, it was. The product is twice the price of the top rated cabinet, door and trim paint available at the local big box store. It is advertised as not needing stripping, sanding or priming, so I just removed all the doors, cleaned them thoroughly, and painted away on them and on the wood frames in the bathroom. The paint is thick and creamy and easy to apply. The instructions recommended using a roller, as brush marks would be obvious. However, the roller left a very stippled finish that I was not happy with, so I had to meticulously apply it with foam brushes. Though the product is thick, it in no way covered in one coat, in fact on some of the flat door fronts it took 4 coats to make a smooth finished look. The finish has no sheen at all--completely flat, similar to chalk-style paint. It was advertised as a matte finish, which I was OK with as that was the finish on our new vanity, but this was definitely chalky flat. The worst characteristic and the main reason I would definitely NOT recommend this product is that it served more as a coating than a paint, and did not seem to adhere well to the original surface. When I painted the oak doors, if they even slightly touched another object or another surface, chips of the entire painted area would pull off all the way down to the original wood surface. Trying to repair this by painting over left obvious dips where the paint had been pulled off. Another negative feature is that the coating needs to "cure" before it can be handled other than very gently. Though dry to touch in a couple hours, the surface remains fragile and the coating subject to lifting off for much longer, and the company recommends 7 days before full use of the painted project and 30 days before a complete "curing". This is definitely not user friendly when trying to get a major project done. Sounded like a great concept, but was a bad choice for me; in fact once it is fully "cured" I will probably repaint with a traditional cabinet and trim paint.

Works Great!
I painted 2 wood cabinets with drawers, from dark brown to white. It took 2 to 3 coats, pretty much one coat after another, but did not have to sand down. They look great.Tip: Once paint has dried, use soap or other lubricant on the drawer slides to stop them from sticking/jamming.

Awesome for painting furniture, much better than regular latex pain.
I used mine to paint an old dresser that I had. It worked exactly as advertised. No priming necessary. I only had to wipe down the dresser and sand down some rough patches. But this basically went on in one coat. It dried evenly and looked really great afterwards. Seems very durable, much more durable than you would get if you just used latex paint.

Perfect Paint!!!
When you receive this paint don’t panic, it’s not liquid, it’s like a thick pudding consistency. There are no drips or brush strokes. I was painting my already black cabinets with a coat and it only needed one coat coverage. I did a whole kitchen with a quarter of a can, it goes a very long way! I am excited to get other colors for my home. The price is well worth it.
