Mutti Finely Chopped Tomatoes 400g (Pack of 4)

Ive used alot of different brands of tinned tomatoes in cooking, usually go for Italian and most tomato content and have to add some tomato puree to thicken up the sauce as they all have tomato juice added to up the content but with these you really dont have to add anything to thicken your sauces. If im honest I wouldn't buy them full price as im a cheap skate and dont mind adding puree to my sauces to save me some money but if your not like me then buy these. I don't know why it says added salt when in the ingredients it says none and its just tomatoes. I also tried them as a pizza sauce as I ran out of passata and they were tasty even then. Not runny and spread nicely. I bet these would be nice boiled down with some fresh tomatoes to make a lovely tomato soup. Cant fault them apart from the price but you get what you pay for as they say. I think I may have used tomato a little too much in this review 😀

This is a high quality product thst is great to use when making sauces for anything really. I've used it to make pizza sauce, bolognese sauce and even a tomato and herb soup. Very red, tastes great.

I was recommended to Mutti by some 'foodie friends' and have not been disappointed, the flavuor compared to other brands is unsurpassed. It works well with all types of pasta which is what I have used this for so far, added to stir fried and roasted vegetables you can definitely taste the tomatoes and flavour you do not usually get with other tinned varieties. Great recommendation and will stay with the brand as I also purchaed the sauce which is also sublime !

Mutti Finely Chopped Tomatoes 400g (Pack of 6) Polpa I normally find crushed or pulped tomatoes are watery and tasteless. Not this product. The pulp is lovely. So far I have used it to make a pasta sauce, chicken cacciatore and a tomato sauce to go onto the base of my pizzas, cooked up with garlic and Italian herbs. I am buying some more tins since I will certainly continue to use this.

These are good tomatoes, in particular I like how they come as pulped rather than either simply chopped, whole or passata. However I expected more in terms of flavour given what I'd heard about this brand. Don't get me wrong they are delicious, there's nothing wrong with them at all but in a blind taste I very much doubt whether I'd have been able to distinguish these from any other common brand of tinned tomato. Which in turn makes their price a little off putting for me personally.

Lovely can tell the difference from cheap brands

These will be my staple canned tomatoes from now. They are full of flavour and not watery like cheaper brands, even though there not expensive at less than a pound a can., will try the plum tomatoes next but these ones were full of flavour and I like to add salt and sugar normally but these are rich in taste enough on their own.

Very tasty and perhaps more importantly, not in the slightest bit bitter in sauces. Many canned tomatoes make the most awful sauces, you are struggling to get rid of the bitterness, but these are just perfect. Beat the heck out of 99% of other tinned tomatoes. When they say "finely chopped" they mean it. I would be tempted to call them "coarse puree" lol, but that in my opinion is just right to make a great textured sauce. These are my first choice every time. Can not recommend them highly enough.

Das Tomatenfruchtfleisch von Mutti überzeugt mich besonders durch seinen natürlichen und angenehm fruchtigen Geschmack. Die Tomaten schmecken aromatisch und bilden eine sehr gute Grundlage für viele Gerichte. Ich verwende die Polpa vor allem für Pastasaucen, Pizza, Suppen und Eintöpfe. Der Geschmack wirkt frisch und ausgewogen, sodass häufig nur noch wenige Gewürze und weitere Zutaten benötigt werden. Auch die feine Konsistenz gefällt mir sehr gut. Das Tomatenfruchtfleisch lässt sich problemlos verarbeiten und verbindet sich schnell mit den übrigen Zutaten. Insgesamt ein geschmacklich überzeugendes und vielseitiges Produkt, das bei mir regelmäßig in der Küche zum Einsatz kommt. Ich werde es jederzeit wieder kaufen.

Still the best diced tomatoes in the world. Use it for cooking as you would fresh ones. Pasta sauce is their best friend
