Q: Are these large/long enough to fit a pair of shoes?

The 1.3 quart bins are about 6" long and a bit less than 4.5" wide. They might fit a toddler's pair of shoes, but won't come close to fitting an adult pair.

Q: What's the capacity of these small storage bins with lids?

1.32 quarts in the title. I'm so love these small storage containers. It is very practical for storing small items.

Q: Do these have a gasket around the edge to fully seal the bin?

There is a flat rim around the whole periphery of the top but no gasket. The closure is just polypropylene on polypropylene. These are not airtight. For a good seal, you need to use food storage containers that have latches on all four sides. I like the ones with glass bottoms. They are least likely to warp.

Q: How do i just buy the 16.9 qt bins? i don't see them being sold other than in variety packs.

When you scroll through all of the other items for sale with this listing, there is no option to buy just the 16.9 quart. That's available only in the 3 pack with the 2 other sizes. If it's not listed, it isn't available through this listing. You would need to contact the seller, if not Amazon, to see if they have them available in that size only or search for the size you want to see if there are separate listings.
