A Versatile Cable Tie for Home, Yard, and Garden Use
This 500 Cable Tie assortment is a must have item for household, yard, and garage use. A great value, the ties are varied in length to provide use versatility. I would classify them as a medium-duty cable tie. They are not as heavy duty as the 8-in Gardner Bender cable ties I also keep on hand, but nonetheless work well for many uses.

JUNK!!! Stay away
Total junk. Save your money & find some other brand. These cable ties do not lock when tightened. What a waste of my time.

some defective ties
OK value 500 pack....good assortment of sizes for quick fixes around the house & garage.I took off one star only cuz the price was a tad higher than it should be...but that is my opinion.EDIT March 2 2013After using a few, I found a few did not "lock" in place and just came loose.Maybe I should bought the ones at the dollar store?

These are ok
These are not made as well as cable ties I have acquired in the past, but they'll do. I will not order this brand again, unless I have no choice, but I think they are ok. I had one pop its hold for some reason - meaning i had tied it tight and I was rotating it around and something popped. I thought it had just outright broken, but the cable was still intact - just the "tie" part evidently had something break in it because it would no longer lock on the cable running through it. This only happened once, but it was one of the first 3 ties I used, and I have only used 6-7 of them so far.

Good value
These are good, strong plastic cable ties. There is a life-time supply here, and it is convenient that they come with the clear plastic container for storage. I already had a bunch of white ones, but the black ones look better on most appliance cables, which is mostly what I use them for.

Good deal
One price & you a lots of ties in different sizes. they're exactly what I was looking for & they do exactly what they claimed they do. They're no stronger or weaker than other ties.

Trash
These cable ties do not work. Seriously. Every single one slips under tension, failing at the single task they are intended to perform. Please spare yourself and the landfill.

I don't trust them: potentially unreliable, does not stay locked under certain conditions..
I purposely came back to write this after a disappointing first use. Like others have mentioned, I found these guys had a tendency to come undone if, after securement, their head is held at an angle which allows the locking tab on the head of the tie to lose its bite into the grooves along the ties length. Last bag had better made "heads" that absolutely would not allow this same sort of failure. Might have to do with the ties being noticeably more flimsy than the standard variety. For simple use managing wires/cable bundles they look like they'll hold but I'm not convinced they're reliable for anything involving more stressful applications.. Who knew that even cable ties came in normal and poorer-quality varieties?
