I thought I was getting a rasberry Pi 3B+ with the touch screen??? Not the case!
Your getting just the touch screen not a raspberry Pi 3B+ with it! And the touch screen is nice, but my smart phone screen is much better. However, Luckily I already had a Rasberry Pi 3B+ and just thought I would be getting a second with the touch screen. So, I loaded the one I had and it worked. It is neat that it can be it's own docking station, My main focus was to use it for Udemy courses to perform CentOS / Red Hat learning. Price good! Make cur you get a cord that can handle the system. I chose the cord with an ON/OFF button, because I needed to be able to turn it off when not in use. Anyhow, I'd say it is misinformation. But the touchscreen and design is okay!

Power supply is inadequate
4 stars because the power supply is not adequate for this type of setup. The length of the power supply cord is 6’ which is too long. The added resistance at that length severely reduces the much needed amperage at the pi and touchscreen, resulting in the lightning bolt being displayed which indicates that there is insufficient power being supplied to both the Pi and the touchscreen. There is at least a .5 amp loss at 6’. I use a 5 volt, 2.1 amp output with a 6 inch cord, and even under a heavy cpu load the lightning bolt never once appears. Also there are different lines of code out there online that will fix the known upside down screen problem; however, only one will rotate the display and the touchscreen digitizer. If you use the wrong line code the touch digitizer will think the screen is still in its original position but the picture will display 180 degrees different. The line code I used to rotate both the display and touch digitizer is:1. sudo nano /boot/config.txt2. add the linelcd_rotate=23. Save it4. RebootThe kit came complete and everything was packed nicely. Very fast shipping.

Worth the cash., couldn’t be happier with the purchase
Meet all my expectations, easy to assemble, great product for the price and quick delivery. Built out kali Linux and a HackRF radio controller on it and it’s flying fine under gnu radio. I have had a few of these pi’s in the past my only regret is that I can’t figure out how to dual screen it or automatically switch to hdmi when cabled. I’m sure it’s capable just haven’t got that far yet. For now editing the boot.config gets it done when I want to force hdmi.

Bad View Angle
The view angle of the official Pi display is directional. This case is upside down. Bad view angle.

These kits are great, I currently have 12 and just ordered 2 more. The one thing I would prefer is a 3A power supply rather than the 2.5A supply currently supplied in the kit to help power the display.

Gave four stars because the display is upside down when mounted in the case. One line added to a file corrects the display though. Also viewing angle is not adjustable and sometimes difficult to see.

Cute little touchscreen
The Raspberry Pi fits right inside of the touchscreen case and connects quickly and easily. (I had to find a YouTube video to help, but it was easy to find and easy to use.) The touchscreen seems to work really well. I like that it's all in one piece as I will be using this in a CoderDojo with kids and fewer separated pieces means less chance of losing things.

This is for use with Raspberry Pi ONLY! Do not buy for any other use.
This review is more about description and application, than product function.I bought this screen to use for a project, and expected I would be able to find adapters to make it work. I have discovered that this screen does not use a standard 40 pin connector cable. It has a Raspberry Pi specific connector, and must be used with the accompanying Raspberry Pi display board. The problem is that the display board cannot be powered or run without a Raspberry Pi unit, with the correct driver.Bottom line is that if you are building a Raspberry Pi, then this screen should work well for you. If you intend to do anything else with it, do not buy it. Buy something with a standard 40 pin ribbon connector.
