These garbage cans were worth every penny! I live in a hot climate where the heat used to make our garbage reek in a matter of a day or two. We tried scented bags and other cans that claimed to keep the stink to a minimum, but none have ever worked to this level.The sleekness of this can also keeps the kitchen looking clean as opposed to the big rubber can appearance. It blends in really well.The motion sensor is also really nice because we only have to wave over it once to open the lid unlike other cans we've had.The battery life also seems to be going super strong. We're still on the same set we put in when we first bought it several months ago now and so I'm really pleased with that.I will eventually switch all of our garbage cans to this style.While I spent more on this product than others, it was definitely worth the extra investment .

Missing cable for charger

I bought these almost two years ago. If you are a pet owner, especially large breed, (I have a Great Pyrennes) you can't beat them. The top is activated by movement and when it automatically opens and hits their nose they are done! Actually it took my dog twice but I don't think she believed it the first time. No odor...I change the charcoal pods every 6 months. It holds a lot more then you think and goes with my others stainless steel appliances. Very attractive and guests really like it too. When I'm cooking and my hands are a mess, I just hold them over the detector and throw my stuff away. Don't have to touch it. The small one goes in my bathroom and also works great. I love them both!! Great buys!!

I know saying this is the best trashcan sounds like over-hype but it isn't. Based on previous cans I've owned this one is best.I love that it is stainless steel easy to clean.It holds my 13-gal bags without slipping because it comes with a gadket thingy that holds it in place.The motion sensor is not too sensitive that it will open with a subtle wave of the hand AND stay open just long enough for me to scoop my trash into it before it softly closes. The battery lasts a very long time. In fact, I have owned mine for nearly 18 months and still haven't replaced the batteries. Oh, and when the bag is full, there are tiny holes in the bottom of the can that allow just enough air in to help release the bag as you lift it out.The mini can is small enough to hold a plastic shopping bag and your basic bathroom trash but functions just as the bigger model does.The only thing that would make this better would be some smart feature that would tell my son, through Alexa, that it's time to empty it. Perhaps in the future.

While this trash can seems smaller than my similar one that I had to replace, the smaller size is not really the issue that bugs me. What I have a problem with is the fact that the motion detector does not work very well. One has to nearly put your hand or other solid object right up on top of the sensor before it will trigger the lid to open. Usually, I end up having the lid hit my hand or the solid object as soon as it opens because my hand is so close to the lid just to trigger it. In some ways, it negates the whole idea of the motion detection feature because if you try to trigger it by holding your hand or an object six inches away from the can, it will not trigger it to open. You must be between an inch or two of the can to get it to trigger the lid to open. That's why the lid, which opens rather quickly, ends up striking you before you can move your hand out of the way. So if you have to put your hand so close to the lid of the can to get it to open, you might as well go ahead and press the button to open the lid. The motion detector just doesn't work well, and sometimes, even when you try to trigger it from up close, it still does not open the lid. I have on a few occasions had to press the open button just so I could get the garbage in my hands into the trash can. I have no patience for devices that do not work as they are purported to work in their product description. This one is not that responsive and the range of the motion detection ability is so limited, it almost makes it not worth the effort -- and therefore, not worth the purchase price. I would not buy it again.

Es un producto muy funcional, práctico y sencillo de armar y poner en operacion. Vale totalmente la pena, el tirar la basura sin tener que levantar ninguna tapa es excelente. Sólo para el caso del bote grande hay considerar un espacio amplio, ya que en espacios reducidos al pasar cerca del sensor éste se activa, cosa menor pero hay que tomarlo en cuenta

Great product, just use energizer batteries and they should last you for a long time (6 months to 1 year). my kitchen is small and everytime i pass by to get something, i get close to the bin and it opens. shouldnt be a problem but it will reduce the battery life.

The media could not be loaded.  I was so happy with this purchase, worked great, for 2 days. Motion sensor works only when it wants to. Not a battery issue as it is plugged into the wall.

La grosse poubelle est arrivée bien emballer, après l'avoir défait de tout, elle était légèrement diforme, donc faut que je me batte un peu a chaque changement de sac... à part ça le produit et bien.

Works pretty well.We were expecting charger would charge the batteries to be used without charger. but Charger has to be connected all the time if not using batteries.
