JG, Your answer is almost word for word what it said on the instruction sheet for the 'Lodge' cast iron Dutch oven I bought last month at Wal-Mart. Designed in USA but built in China, Previously made in Tennessee.

Anyone knows what the bristles are made of? Is it synthetic or made of boar?

Doesn't smell like boar. May be a blend, the brush smells like a poly-blend.

can you use the scissor for nose and ear hairs?

You could, but the scissors are very poor quality. If you are buying this primarily for the scissors, I would look elsewhere.
