Matouk’s
The name alone sells it. A classic dose of sweet heat. I usually serve it with cheese and crackers, but I recently tried in on a cheese omelet and almost left my body. A miraculous condiment.

My favorite of the Matouk's varieties
Don't be fooled by this being rated "medium hot" heat - it is plenty darn spicy! As with, I think, all of them, it gets its heat from Scotch Bonnet peppers, or habañeros grown in the West Indies. these are not only one of THE hottest peppers, but also have a wonderful citrusy flavor that comes through in this sauce. Other fruit, like papaya, rounds out the flavor in this one.About that "medium hot" rating. If you know peppers, you know the Scoville scale is like the exponent on the amount of heat. Increase of 1 means 10x as much. So, this sauce is medium because it is only made with like 1/3 peppers. This doesn't even decrease its scoville rating by 1 - still probably a 10, where a jalapeno is a 3 and a serrano is a 5.My only complaint is the sauce is maybe too thick, so you get big glumps of it out at a time. You've been warned.

Only because...
I gave it 4 stars only because this was a little too! spicy, I frequently enjoy eating habanero level hot sauce, but this just kicked my a**. I think they should note that it might be extremely spicy for some, but over the taste was there the consistency was nice(thick) so 4/5 stars. But for anyone that really enjoys a spicy swift kick to the teeth, look no further.

Best of the West Indies.
We use this product in virtually everything we cook. It is the best! Yes it’s hot but the hot with a great flavor. Unlike some sauces that are a pure burn and leaves you unable to taste anything. I recommend it for anyone who wants to advance to the next level up from your more commercial hot sauces.

Hot but edible
Matouk's replaced Inner Beauty Real Hot Sauce for me when the latter was the victim of corporate follies a few years ago. Matouk's is nice and hot but with great flavor. It's excellent alone and great mixed in to fire up the barbecue sauce. No curry undertone like the IBRHS but a delicious vinegar-mustard-pepper flavor nonetheless. This sauce is essential for proper ribs, IMO. A bonus is that my friends of Haitian descent look at me with new respect. (Note that the milder Inner Beauty Hot Sauce is back, but Real Hot Sauce still isn't)

Full of flavor
The flavor and the double pkg was just the right amount. I only wished I could purchase with food stamps.

Where Have You Been All My Life
Can't believe there was a time when I wasn't using this. Great heat and the flavor makes it worth putting more on. A little goes a long way with this, so be careful. Great in chili, jambalaya and in Mexican food.

A New Favorite!
This is a great sauce, especially with chicken. The Scotch Bonnet heat is warm and soothing, and theother flavors make this a real stand out for me.This is my second order, Yum!
