Foldaway Cattle Suede Leather Hat - Item 1061

Top quality just like my old hat

Years ago, I had a friend from Australia who introduced me to Barmah hats. The first one I saw was a suede foldaway like this one. I bought a used one and it became like a favorite pair of good jeans. Unfortunately I left it in my truck and it shrunk. I ordered this one to replace it and I can already tell it's going to last year's. It's stiff at first, but it will mold to your head and will shape how you like it over time. Shown is this new hat versus my old, well loved, suede bronco and versus my trusty old kangaroo squashy. As an archaeologist, it's not only the perfect style, but it's the absolute best tool for field work.

Bought the first Barmah in Australia years ago. Wanted a new one without the sweat stains and this is the most affordable one available currently. It fits well, provides great sun protection, and the look is excellent.

Nice hat. Just what I was looking for. It's a touch big, but it comes with a "sizing kit", 2 strips of cloth in 2 widths you tuck under the front to get a snugger fit. They have adhesive if you want to put them in permanently. Only reason for 4 stars not 5, they used USPS for shipping and it was a week late( thanks Dejoy you slug). The Customer Service was very good though, keeping me up to date on shipping.

This hat is amazing! Ordered a size too small initially. Barmah Hats was very understanding, and helped me return the item. I ordered the next size up and they sent it out promptly, with a coupon for $5 off my next Barmah hat, as well as a complimentary hat sizer. The quality of this hat is very impressive so far. The stitching is very good, and the authentic suede leather is very soft and comfortable. I've worn it through one rainstorm so far, and it kept my head nice and warm and dry. Plus it can be crumpled and reshaped easily, even stuffed into a bag (they provide one). Between the quality of the item itself and the prompt and courteous service, this experience is the perfect example of why you should buy "MADE IN THE USA" items.

Terrible quality, nothing to do compared with the Barmah's made in Australia.

I go through these hats about every 18 months, give or take. I was quite happy to find it on amazon. I was also quite happy that my last one was worn out rather than me losing it (which I have done before too). This is the 5th or 6th one of these I have gotten and I will continue to buy them when this one dies.
